    This latest disaster, this act-of-war that is the capture of those British sailors, has really unnerved me to the core. And I believe it is a direct consequence of our Congress’s (the House’s) gutless actions concerning the ‘funding’ of our military forces engaged in the joint efforts of both our nations in the Iraqi theater of this war. I’ve been feverishly working to navigate the ‘web forms’ of certain members of Congress, venting my anger with as much ‘civility’ as I can manage to maintain. This Thursday I sent a message to her ‘esteemed highness’ Speaker Pelosi. It was actually possible to send her an actual e-mail: sf.nancy@mail.house.gov

    I subsequently received an auto-reply which requested that use this address:
    AmericanVoices@mail.house.gov if: I was not a “resident of California’s 8th Congressional District” and wished to contact her “in regard to” her “role as Speaker.” I did not receive an auto-reply to my second e-mail but… as I also did not receive a ‘postmaster’ bounce-back message I’m assuming it was received.

    I would include the message I sent to Rep. Nancy Pelosi here, but I’ve no idea what the ‘character limit’ here might be. I encourage everyone though reading this comment to likewise also send Speaker Pelosi messages… She has sure earned it!

    I can with this bunch just as I saw in 79 same ones that would and want to cave into Iran,send a message to the enemy when our troops will leave the battlefield,Reagan didn’t put up with their horse shit and got the message across to the people,which George has a problem doing but at least he has backbone,we were running cadence when Reagan came in singing about going to Iran,I can imagine we’re doing it again.
    They bitched about Iran/Contra,now they want to cave into the same scum that bitch slapped their “Jimmy Holy Carter”,along with the rest of our country,Iran is the reason I joined up over 20 years ago only to have it solidified when I lost someone very close to me when IRAN
    drove that truck into the Marine barracks in 83.

    It’s time to choke the life out of Iran,blockade them or do whatever it takes,if they try to take on our combined
    British/American Naval forces we will take losses and then we’ll have no choice but to take them out,which could be a good thing because Israel will if we don’t.

    I’m old enough to remember the ‘national humiliation’ we suffered due to the week-kneed, vacillating, gutless inaction of the Left’s first ‘modern’ savior - Jimmy Carter. That is why this unfolding new ‘Iran hostage crisis’ has me so unnerved. Insofar as my deep feelings on monumental ‘issues’ tends to bring out the best compositions I can muster, I humbly submit to this blog’s comment field the second e-mail I ‘fired’ off to the ‘Quisling’ Pelosi. My sincere hope is that this will, in some small way, bolster the morale of our solders serving bravely in harms way.

    Excellent email, but I am sure they will just file-13 it like all the other ones we send, mine included. No one in our government listens to us anymore, even on the right. I, my family, and friends have sent several emails and faxes and…nothing.

    Your last comment, that I quoted above, is very poignant. If they do start paying attention to this blog then it did its job. They will be making it even more legitimate, though they will do everything they can to squash it I am sure. I am not saying this blog is not legitimate; rather we may finally have their attention even if they only try to subvert it.

    Clinton Inc. mastered the art of not only defeating an opponent but ruining them to the point they would never work again. If only the left invested as much time and energy into defeating the real enemies.

    yeah I took the PAST test, they kept trying to get me to go special forces because i’m gung ho about weapons and getting in the shit, in outstanding shape, and can swim 500 yards in about 8 minutes (swimmer and track runner in highschool) I was well under my times on everything but I also took the DLAB therefore qualifying for linguist, maybe I’m a pussy but I figure speaking derka will get more of the enemy dead then me HALO jumping and firing my M4. Just my opinion. Amen to Pat for pointing out what needed to be, I’ll try to back up my boy with more class next time, i apologize.
