Scene Of Horror In Baghdad This Morning. Al Qaeda Continues To Launch A Furious Counterattack After Being Kicked Out Of Al Anbar

- BREAKING STORY OF BOMBS IN BAGHDAD

- Rumors are circulating on the streets of Baghdad, and in it’s newspapers, that a powerful member of parliament is the main culprit in last week’s cafeteria bombing. Word is he will be arrested soon.

- Serious troubles for both Al Sadr’s Mehdi Army and Sunni terrorist elements. Sadr’s thugs are coming under greater fire from Shiite dominated government forces in southern Iraq. In addition, Al Sadr’s power play this week, having his party’s ministers resign from the cabinet, seems to futher seal his fate as a walking dead man. As he removes himself from the political process, he cements his image as a violent enemy of the state and puppet of Iran, and binds himself up in the current mounting showdown with Iran. It appears that a violent confrontation with him is now the only likely outcome. Unless he pulls some dramatic, two-faced turnabout that is coordinated with Tehran.

As I’ve noted, the war between Al Qaeda and the Sunni locals is in full swing, and Al Qaeda has been thrown out of Al Anbar by the alliance between the Sunni tribes and U.S. forces. ( 17 dead children were just found in a former Al Qaeda headquarters in Ramadi.) Further, various Al Qadea groups are fighting amongst themselves, and Sunni insurgent groups are fighting amongst themselves. It’s happened before but not like this. The entire Sunni/Al Qaeda insurgency is in complete disarray. Leader of the Al Qaeda linked group The Islamic State of Iraq, Umar al-Baghdadi, issued a 42 minute statement today that attacked various groups for fighting each other instead of the enemy - - but then he himself attacked other groups that he has ideological and strategic differences with. He also tried to patch up differences with the Al Qaeda Army of Iraq, who recently issued a statement that they were severing ties with Al Qaeda. You get the pitcture. All this is only good for us.

According to military and media sources, including the Kuwait News Agency, Ibrahim Keitan, Al Qaeda’s military coordinator for all Al Anbar province, was killed on Saturday.

No word on the 20 cops and soldiers allegedly kidnapped a few days ago, but the 48 hour deadline has passed.

The Streets Of Ramadi. Yes, those are all bullet, bomb and shrapnel holes.

A major, major step up in USMC presence in Ramadi is underway. Stay tuned for details. Ramadi is the last place in Al Anbar to be cleared. Several new OPs have been set up at key hotspots over the last year, and things are falling into position for the next phase of operations. Marines there report to me that an almost eerie silence has overtaken the city. Calm before the storm?

Interesting over at Youtube. There is fast and furious removal of videos deemed “offensive” to Islam, and the banning of those who post them. However, Youtube is currently the world’s premiere outlet for terrorist propaganda, propaganda that is actually produced by terrorists. You’ll note that on one of the two clips below, the guy who posted it wishes good luck and God’s blessings on the terrorists who made it. Apparently he fits Youtube’s image of the model Youtuber. Youtube’s policy is that videos displaying the killing of Americans and the call to kill more are allowed, but videos merely critiquing Islam are not.

Below are two of Al Sadr’s Mehdi Army propaganda videos. Both will demonsrate quite amply why Al Sadr should not only have never been allowed to paricipate in the political process, but why in fact he should have been killed. And still should be. Anyone remember the standoff at the mosque in Najaff when we almost killed him, but the American Leftist machine rallied against doing that? Well now we’re reaping what was sown.
