Gosh, imagine! Iraq might become a stable partner in the ME, and work with the US to combat tyranny, autocracy, and jihadism. Who'da thunk?

Zebari is, btw, one of the brightest of the bright. Always listen carefully when he speaks.

OMG, the surrender monkeys must have their panties in a real twist about now.

I mean, this request from Iraq basically says that our presence there is favorable to the country, so if Pelousy, Reid, et al, try to get us out of there, then they're telling the rest of the 'global community' that kumbaya time around the campfire is over....

Between this and some of the WMD's that "Saddam didn't have" being found in a UN office, it's turning out to be a real nice day...

Let's go have a cold one...

Well now...how will the Defeatocratz in Congress and the LMSM spin this development. We're being ASKED to stay by the duly elected government of a sovereign nation? Well, now isn't that interesting.

I thought Maliki had other friends? Oh, I guess he meant us...Oh well...At least he has one member of his cabinet with good sense.

Maliki is not perfect but he is the chosen representative. We have seen incredible changes this summer. I cannot fathom the mess he has had to work with, and given the massive improvements while he has been in office, I am not sure he is as bad as the media has made him out to be.
Things could be better, but also much worse, and Iraq is moving quickly to the better. So if he saves his ass by working more with sunnis and kurds that's fine, we get the result we want.

But this is not a good thing... At least, from a conservative perspective.

As I have said numerous times before, our government's current policy in Iraq is very liberal, and Democrats should be supporting it, while those of us who are conservatives and Republicans should be opposing it.
