I hope Newt Jumps in the race for president..he would have my vote any day of the week..Never took any DemoRat shit when he was speaker of the house and hes a historian..Great person for this time in our country’s history.
As for illegal immigrants, the people really need to go and its shameful that congress has done nothing on this matter.

Just a little bit of an exaggeration but still gets the point across. The battles going on here are much less severe than whats going on in Afghanistan and Iraq. I don’t see bombs killing over a 100 people here.

But he is still right. We can not ignore the thousands of illegal immigrants that enter our country annually, commit crimes, and are then protected by our justice system. It makes no sense at all.

13 people per day are killed by illegal immigrants who drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol. An additional 4,745 premature deaths per year.

So we’re not in a battle for our lives here in the states over illegal immigration Joe? 100 in one fell swoop from a bomb is worse than 4,745 over the course of a year? The carnage and loss behind these statistics aren’t somehow as bloody? Exaggeration? Tell that to the parents or spouses of one of the 13 folks killed today…here’s some more:

12 Americans are murdered every day by illegal aliens. (that’s more than 21,900 murders by illegal aliens since September 11, 2001)

95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

83% of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens.

86% of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens.

75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.

These stats are from the 1st quarter 2006 joint INS and FBI report.

We ARE in a battle for our lives here, every single day. I’m living right smack dab in the middle of it. And the worst part is the suits on the Hill are letting it happen. Follow the money…..

That’s it, blame it on the President. These sanctuary city governments are all in on the no snitch policy. The whole illegal immigration problem is a blatant in your face. All that ‘you’ve’ built up ‘we’re’ here to take it and their enablers (government officials) running those areas are in on it. These descendents of the Aztecs and Mayans have not evolved much beyond when they were found. Just like islamofacists, cultural throwbacks. And we’re told we must be culturally diverse. Yea, right.

I wish people that made statements likes this actually got some press. They might mention a snippet of it down the road, but only to paint him as a racist. Maybe if they made the news and the type of stats kathy is stating got out, more people would support common sense.

Mention this to some on the left and they ignore it. Truth is we are under siege and there are no walls to keep the invaders out. What truly sickens me is this totally inept and self centered congress that refuses to act in the nations best interests. They would rather suck up to the sheeple that keep re-electing them than do the right thing.

And this number does not come close to the combined deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan. I would quote a number but I can find no reliable source. In either case the estimates I have seen (ranging from 30,000 to 601,000 for just Iraq since March 2003) are more than your total. I am not saying that the illegal immigrants killing Americans is a light topic. Newt is just over exaggerating his claim. It is impossible to compare a war zone to the relative calm we have here in America.

The Fed just decided to enforce the all ready existing laws against employers of illegals. That’s a good step. I also read that the Border Patrol is going to build more border fencing…another good step.

More and more cities are enacting legislation to deal with this issue…and now Gulliani has also weighed in and has stated that he would put an end to the problem.

However, what’s missing in all the rhetoric is the cooperation of the state and federal legislatures. A Republican President will never get cooperation from a Democratic federal legislature.

State legislatures are also running against ant-illegal legislation. A number of proposals in my state to deal with illegals have been defeated and continue to be defeated, because states want the Fed to deal with the issue.

Illegal immigration issues continue to be defeated because of decision by indecision…or by passing the buck to the Feds…or by obfuscationg the issue and attempting to redefine the issue according to La Raza rhetoric, instead of making it a National Security and a criminal enforcement issue….which it is.

And despite the fact that “sanctuary cities” are a violation of Federal law…no Fed agency is willing to step in and say “fuck you” to these cities…and enforce already existing laws.

This is going to change. The candidate that speaks loudest against illegal immigration and who has a real plan to deal with it, will probably be the next President; because next to the GWOT, illegal immigration is probably going to be the #1 issue.
