One of the reasons the the war is turning rapidly in our (that our does not include you democrats) favor is that amongst all the verbal shit flying around the one truth is that we have not backed down and have not shown weakness. This strength has been one of the reasons that the iraqis have begun to fight with us, that we have shown to be brave and steadfast in our resove. I think the surge was important to the current change of the Iraqi mindset; which in the end is more effective than the tactical effect of more troops. The brits new pussyfication endangers more than just from the physical loss of presence.

It is not the action that should be taken and is not the message Britain should send. They will end up regretting it.

Fucking Britain. After touting Basra as proof of their “better” way of war for so long, they’ve just sat on their thumbs while most of their were citizens frothing with anti-Bush frenzy and now they’re gonna be pulling out…what kind of precedent does that set. Sad days for the crown.

British honor and the strength of their arms indeed. The soldiers who do fight do so valiantly, but their population is fucked and their military can’t compete when they don’t have the soldiers (numbers), equipment, logistics, or support…the public thinks finally upgrading their air carriers is a foul move…fucking socialist wastebasket Europe. Too few who remember who their grandfathers were.
