Pakistan Signs Another Tribal Peace Accord

While the Taliban attacks the Pakistani military and government institutions in the Northwest Frontier Province, the government sues for peace in the tribal regions. After negotiating failed ‘peace accords’ with the Taliban in North and South Waziristan, Bajaur, and Swat, the Pakistani government has signed a new agreement in the tribal agency of Mohmand. The deal, which was signed by elders of the Halimzai tribes, one of the largest in the agency, stated the tribes “would not allow asylum to foreigners in their areas.” The peace deal does not address the issue of the Pakistani Taliban.

August 28th, 2007 at 4:46 pmSuing for peace is a “give up” play…Yeah, that’s a brilliant strategy. Musharaff should read his own Koran. In Islam you are either the Victor or the Vanquished in war…there is no compromise….So which is Musharaff? The victor or the Vanquished? Musharaff is much the Dhimi these days isn’t he?

August 28th, 2007 at 9:18 pmwhen you sit it the table with terrorists you end up giving them most of what they want, because they dont give in to anyone demands. this arises from the idea that islam is the only and superior religion. All the treaties signed by muhammed and his successors place severe restrictions on islams foes while giving most benefits to islam in exchange for “peace”.
remember muhammeds demand of the meccans? : “only say that their is no God but Allah and i am his prophet, and you will have peace” meaning: dont proclaim me and my religion superior and we will kill you.
musharref has to know these things, perhaps he is trying to buy some time? I hope he is practicing taqiyya just as the taliban is doing.
