Cut and run while your side is winning is a real strange strategy. All the grief, none of the spoils of victory. Timing is everything, being replaced by Poland and France on the world stage is not good — Now all the Brits get is to sit next to Spain.

How sad for such valiant warriors, the British soldiers. But how true to form for old Europe.

What a sorry sight and a hell of an end to a once glorious empire they used to defend with massive military force.

Hope no-one here is planning any trips to (formerly great) Britain anytime soon…
