Pakistan Army Terror Squad Targeted In Bombing

A Pakistani special forces unit charged with fighting al Qaeda was targeted today in a suicide bombing, killing at least 15 soldiers.
Officials said a suicide bomber detonated himself inside the dining hall of an army base as soldiers were sitting down to dinner.
The base located in Haripur District, about 37 miles from Islamabad, is home to the Special Services Group (SSG), an elite unit similar to the United States’ Green Berets.
The unit hunts for terrorists along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.
Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf was once a commando in SSG himself and still uses members of the elite unit for his personal protection detail.
The local media are speculating that today’s bombing was an inside job as Pakistan’s army bases are heavily secured. It would be difficult, they say, for terrorist groups to gain access to the base, let alone the mess hall.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the blast, which is under investigation, according to Pakistani authorities.
The SSG is currently locked in fierce fighting with pro-Taliban and al Qaeda militants in the restive North Waziristan region.

Musharaff has been playing with fie ever since the Paki military supported the Talibastard takeover of Afghanistan.
They made a pact with the devil himself and are paying heavily for that mistake.
The Paki intelligence services have always been wishy-washy. Some support the irhabis, some don’t. If Musharaff is to survive, he better purge his military of those with divided loyalties, before one of those devil-worshipping suicide bombers gets into the PM’s residence and knocks off Musharaff himself.
