Man, do we need a TR again. Too bad they don’t teach TR’s vision for America in the pubic schools anymore. There’s way too many Ward Churchills and too few patriots. Civics is just a another word for Howard Zinn; just like “progressive” is just another word for Marx or V.I Lennin.

Fuck Bill Richardson and the 43 million Latinos living here. That goes for every other nationality living in America. T.R. states exactly how I feel. If you want to be an American, you half to be an American or else get the fuck out of my country!!!!!!! We should have no terms such as Latino, African American, and Native American etc. We are all American!!!!! We all speak English so learn the language and the culture or get out !!!!

Don’t you know: TR is just another old dead white man. His ideas about America are so passe. We need to bow down and try to curry favor with all foreigners, so they will love us like in the good old days of Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter. Seriously though, we are fortunate the illegals in this country are Latino and not Islamic. The illegal Latinos can be made to be Americans, some how, some day, after returning to their own countries, being weeded out, paying their dues, etc., etc. We are lucky we don’t have 11 million illegal Islamics, because they generally don’t want to conform to our culture, to become Americans, and their leaders so state. Look at the problems in England, France, Sweeden, etc. Richardson is sort of an idiot–Latino Americans don’t want to speak Spanish. They speak English. Why doesn’t Richardson campaign in Mexico and run for the Mexican presidency, if he wants to speak Spanish?

For those who cannot read that sentence it says:

(The better of the two USAs in my humble opinion)
PS: I came to this country 25 years ago. I spoke very little English then.
I have worked my way from the very bottom and it makes me sick to see how Americans say things like “We speak English” but have so little pride that are not able or willing to learn how to speak it properly (much less spell it) Who is the lazy one?

No one has ownership rights on his/her country of citizenship. We rent, we do not own a thing.

Maybe because he is a US born citizen and has the same right as any US born citizen to run for the presidency. (read your constitution sometime) regardless of what language he might want to speak.(the constitution does not say that speaking Spanish would disqualify anybody from running)

A nation state is more than just a legal code, citizenship is more than a some you “rent” while your here, it a national society of people bound together through history, customs, culture, and a sense of duty to each other, it is very much something you own. language, a common language, is perhaps the most important part of citizenship.
