Time: Ahmadinejad Won
A lot of people weren’t happy, no matter how stupid he looked.
The Cheshire Cat smile worn by Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during his address at Columbia University on Monday was no surprise — the event was a resounding victory for the Iranian president. Of course, students and faculty in the hall jeered many of his comments, while protestors outside denounced him as the new Hitler. And Columbia University president Lee Bollinger — clearly stung by criticism of the institution for hosting Ahmadinejad — used his introduction to excoriate the Iranian leader as everything from a “cruel and petty dictator” to “astonishingly uneducated.” But all of this was merely grist for Ahmadinejad. The furor it had created ensured that what might have passed as a relatively obscure address in a small Ivy League auditorium turned into a national media event, in which the Iranian president had the microphone, unmolested, for the best part of an hour.
New York City Council Speaker Christine C. Quinn, had criticized Columbia for hosting Ahmadinejad, warning that “All he will do on that stage … is spew more hatred and more venom out there to the world.” Not quite. Despite the harsh words of his host, Bollinger, Ahmadinejad stayed on message, appearing relaxed, reasonable, open, even charismatic. Whether or not American TV audiences are seduced is beside the point, because Ahmadinejad’s primary audience is not American. The provocations of his New York visit are an integral part of his domestic political strategy, which depends on his ability to hold America’s national attention with an unapologetically nationalist message about Iran’s nuclear rights, lecturing them about God and their aim to run the world.
It was pure political ju-jitsu, using the momentum of your adversaries to your own advantage. The protestors got him on TV, and he used the platform to grandstand for the folks back home. He will share an even bigger global platform with President Bush on Tuesday, at the lectern of the U.N. General Assembly. The two men won’t appear together, of course, but each is making a pitch for international support in the showdown over Iran’s nuclear issue. But Ahmedinajad appeared to steal a march on Bush Monday by virtue of his televised propaganda show at Columbia.
Challenged on his statements questioning the Holocaust, for example, Ahmadinejad cleverly turned the issue around, asking, “Why is it that the Palestinian people are paying the price for an event they had nothing to do with?” That argument may not get much sympathy with an American audience, but championing the Palestinian cause helps Iran’s strategy of undermining the moderate Arab regimes allied with Washington.
Ahmadinejad’s primary audience, however, is in Iran, because — despite Bollinger’s assertion that he is a dictator — the Iranian president faces reelection in 2009. As things stand, his failure to deliver on the economic promises he made in his first campaign and the deterioration of Iran’s global position puts him at substantial risk of losing to the more pragmatic elements in the Iranian leadership, who are already campaigning against him. Playing the nuclear card as an expression of Iranian national pride has always been part of his domestic political game, and the breathless television coverage his visit has prompted in the U.S. won’t do his domestic prospects any harm.

September 25th, 2007 at 7:15 amTime magazine French-kissing Ahmadinejad?
A bunch of lefty, Little Orphan Annie-gazed kiddies cheering for the murderous thug who tells them what they want to hear?
Watch me sit here all un-surprised and shit.
September 25th, 2007 at 7:26 amI use time magazine to swat flies with. I could care less what they say. Those of us who understand the threat posed by thugs like Ahmedthewhackjob and Islamofacism know what a blithering idiot Bollinger is for letting the little goat-fucker speak.
Nyers were pissed. Bollinger is now the biggest scam artitist to come to NY since HRC.
The little Hitler may have gooten some PR for his base back in that Islamic utopia of his. But he did not succeed in winning any new converts in the NY.
And Ahmedthegoatkeeper was a loser the day that he was born
September 25th, 2007 at 7:41 amHim, his false prophet, and his false god are destined for the sulphur pit sooner or later. The only thing that he won is a one way ticket to that pit. Fuck him.
Time to pick up the dog shit in the yard using TIME. It’s about all its worth.
September 25th, 2007 at 7:56 amTime and Newsweek both are a laughing stock. What ever happened to journalistic integrity?
September 25th, 2007 at 8:17 amIt’s a fucking “one-up” game with these people?!!?
Hey, TIME, Ask not for whom the cattle car arrives … It arrives for YOU …

More like Ahmadinejad butt fucking Time
September 25th, 2007 at 8:40 amIt was a nice surprise to see Lee Bollinger give the Iranian President a tongue lashing. While I was initially did not support his speaking at Columbia, I think after listening to the guy a good thing. Why? Ask yourself this question… Did he help or hurt his case with the American people?
To me he made himself look totally out of touch with reality, inauthentic, and that he totally underestimated the intelligence of the average American.
Why is it that guys like this always underestimate the United States of America? Hitler, Hirohito, Saddam, Noriega, Bin Laden, the Taliban, etc. all have underestimated our power and resolve.
He shows himself to be either delusional or as Bollinger implied, a grossly uneducated man. He clearly does not understand the American people. He appears to have bought into the propaganda of the left thinking we can be defeated in Iraq.
I take great pleasure in knowing The Great General Petraeus, our brave troops, and our Iraqi brothers and sisters are proving him wrong. That goes ditto for Afghanistan.
In my opinion he shows himself to be inept, uneducated, delusional, and more importantly, a very weak man who purposefully seeks to deceive not only the US but the world.
It is obvious that this guy is a very weak leader leading an even weaker government. Do you honestly think for one moment in your heart of hearts that he has the support of the Iranian people? If he could not win you, me, or the majority of the American people over, do you honestly think the Iranians buy his bullshit any more than we would?
The overwhelming majority of people in Iraq hated Saddam, but felt powerless to do anything about it. Those that even talked about Saddam or the regime in a negative way got a one way ticket to a lovely bat of acid while their families were forced to watch them first burn to death and then their body totally dissolve in the acid.
The majority of Iranians feel the same way about the government and the mullahs. I have friends from there who visit 2-3 times per year who tell me so. They want these draconian leaders gone so they can experience true freedom.
He further weakened his position and standing among Americans and I think the more we hear this guy speak the bigger the hole he digs for himself.
He really eroded his credibility among the majority of Americans. This makes it even easier for us to forcefully remove him and his religious mullahs in the very near future if they do not cut their shit out.
When you look at Arafat and how he preached peace to us and the world and then was seen and heard in messages to his own people speaking about Jihad, destroying Israel, etc., he was shown as the hypocrite that he was.
I always felt too many times he was given too much leeway to talk about what he wanted and not asked the tough questions.
In a simple TV interview it’s easy to end the interview and evade the hard questions. In these types of forums on our turf he can’t just walk off stage.
In asking the tough questions in these type of forums where no holds are barred shows these despots for the criminals and deceivers that they really are.
Letting him speak and challenging him with tough questions which he is evasive about the answers just causes people to continually lose any possible trust or credibility with the American people.
So when the president or our military commanders say he is a devious and evil man that narrative becomes more believable. Why? All we have to do is continue to give this guy more rope and he will hang himself.
September 25th, 2007 at 8:43 amHere, here, Corey. You are an intelligent conservative.
September 25th, 2007 at 9:11 am“Ask yourself this question… Did he help or hurt his case with the American people?”
You make the mistake of believing that this is about you. A common Western fallacy. It isn’t.
It is about Ahwawhateva gaining support from his ‘constituency’ in Iran (he does have one y’know) as well as gaining and/or galvinizing support from ‘moderate’ Arabs to actively pursue his hard line agenda which includes the destruction of Israel and his nuclear program.
He absolutely does not give a fuck about “the American people.” We are a tool.
“All we have to do is continue to give this guy more rope and he will hang himself.”
No. He won’t.
September 25th, 2007 at 9:21 amIsn’t it true there were ZERO questions asked about Iran’s involvement in Iraq?
September 25th, 2007 at 9:25 am“Here, here, Corey. You are an intelligent conservative.”
Another of Kipps drive by libtard posts.

September 25th, 2007 at 9:33 amTo quote the old saw; ‘There is no such thing as bad publicity.’ I wish I could agree with you but in the effite world of academia, the MSM, and Hollyweird, the vacuum chamber of our society, nutso has more cache’ because they cannot be wrong about their choices to invite whatever despot to speak or consort with. Thats what the nutso right-wingers do, they’re all crazy zealots. Just ask a lib. To the protesters and average concerned citizen, this is preaching to the choir. It is telling that the crwod reacted to the homosexual content of Iran with a chuckle. He was probably telling more of the truth than they would care to know. No, the liberals are in total denial and are incredibly self-righteous. I am starting to hate them. I don’t want to hate because it is a poison. But I really do hate those fuckers and their bad attitude and selective mores. Fuck the liberals, they have crossed the line as far as I am concerned.

September 25th, 2007 at 10:31 amThe great WWII US Army General Omar Bradley once said “Wars can be prevented just as surely as they can be provoked, and those that fail to prevent them must share in the guilt of the dead.”
A great Roman Emperor once said “If you want peace prepare for war. If you want war prepare for peace.”
I am all for a brotherhood of humanity and world peace like John Lennon talked about in his song “Imagine.”
The Utopia that John Lennon sang about is possible only when every single human being on this planet is enlightened. All of the spiritual traditions of the world speak of this event and that it is the destiny of humanity.
I believe one day in our not too distant future this will become our reality.
When you look at radical Islam they believe that by forcing their draconian version of Islam upon the world this brotherhood of humanity will happen. However, their version of brotherhood involves all non-Muslim’s to be treated as second class citizens and slaves that may be slaughtered at will as having no more value than “cattle.”
Until the moment of enlightenment occurs in every single human being, whereas even the most evil amongst us realizes the truth of their own divinity and oneness with those they have labeled “Infidels,” I am grateful that we maintain an unfair military advantage over those that wish to destroy or enslave us.
America will be and should be the last nation to lay its weapons down after all the others have verifiably disarmed themselves.
Until then we should continue to offer the carrot, but also continue to carry the biggest stick on the block which we should use only after exhausting all diplomatic means.
We have now met with the Iranians three times in Iraq regarding their double dealings and now a fourth meeting is set up.
However, we continue to capture their Quds forces and see a continuing escalation of Iranian arms flowing into Iraq that not only continue to kill our troops, but Iraqi troops and Iraqi civilians as well.
If they continue to lie and deny the facts about their double dealing, it will be 1000 times easier to justify taking out the Iranian regime and the mullahs, because we tried talking to them to no avail.
I believe unless there is a dramatic de-escalation on the part of the Iranians in Iraq in the next few months, they will have made their choice to be removed from power.
We have learned huge lessons in Iraq and Afghanistan about toppling brutal regimes and are becoming exceedingly efficient at their removal and replacement with moderate democratic ones.
Democracy is already in the DNA of the Iranian people. It will only take a small US and Iraqi force along with rebel forces already inside Iran to make a swift change with minimal disruption to their society.
Until God’s power and love becomes undeniable in the hearts of every human being, I am grateful that it does radiate from the heart of every American soldier. The average Iraqi and Afghan citizen sees the strength, courage, honor, and generosity of the American people in the hearts of our soldiers.
We should all reflect upon and express our gratitude and love for the unconditional love, patience, dedication, sacrifice, honor, and service our military continually displays in the face of the most diabolical evil this world has ever seen.
I stand behind our troops, The Great General Petraeus, our President, and their mission in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sully, the only way for that to happen is divine grace.
Until it does, it’s only an idea. John Lennon talked about something that was an idea and a possibility in the future.
For that to happen enough people have to reach these enlightened states of consciousness. David Hawkins talked about this in his book “Power vs. Force.”
You can use Kinesiology to test it yourself as Hawkins explains how in his book. It’s a fascinating read. Using Kinesiology you can determine what is truth and what is falsehood. You can tell when someone is lying, or is guilty of a crime by testing their statements using Kinesiology.
Look into it at www.onenessuniversity.org and make up your own mind.
Until it becomes reality, I as Dan (the infidel) said the other day “will sharpen my spears.”

Hey Komrade moobat, You’re in the wrong place again. Go hang out with the rest of the Judases in DailyKos…you won’t get your share of the thirty pieces of silver here.
Save your idiotic moral equivalency arguments for your buddies at the DailyKos shitbird.
I said it before and I’ll say it again “evil is made possible by the sanction you give it, withdraw your sanction”. That was my message to Komrade Bollinger.
September 25th, 2007 at 11:42 am“Sully, the only way for that to happen is divine grace.”
Well that certainly is not the way Lennon ‘imagined’ a ‘world with no religion’. He advocated the abandoning of ‘reason’; the primary product of the Enlightenment.
This abandonment of reason is prevalent in the mindset of the ‘left’ in America. They’ve already decided that they’re ready for a master. As long as that master makes disabusing the rest of America of the right of free speech priority #1.
“enlightened states of consciousness”?

September 25th, 2007 at 11:44 amsully: “You make the mistake of believing that this is about you. A common Western fallacy.”
There is a game being played with the radical on the left who will keep waging the internal war in America, to stop any and all wars. But, Ahmadinejad’s visit and rhetoric *IS* more for the home audience (Iran and the M.E.), most of whom will not hear this so-called “debate” in its entirety.
I do admire the liberal left’s willingness and desire to hear and understand the “enemy” (which they generally do not think Iran is), but they are so interested in listening to every supposedly unheard voice that they often almost completely miss the larger picture and greater dilemma; simply said, the liberal left “can’t see the forest for the trees”.
September 25th, 2007 at 1:01 pm“…simply said, the liberal left “can’t see the forest for the trees”.”
They believe treason is a ‘choice’.
I explain this often to libs I encounter. America is committed in Iraq and Afghanistan and volunteers are fighting there. The only ‘choice’ is win or surrender. ‘Dissent’ is what happens BEFORE the troops are committed, not DURING.
September 25th, 2007 at 1:31 pmThe dhimmicrats are disgracing our country and aiding our enemies by using it as a political tool.
Sully, enlightened states of consciousness or Christ Consciousness as some call it are according to David Hawkins as follows:
The scale is from 0 to 1000. 1000 being the same level of consciousness as the Christ or the Buddha reached.
Hawkins noted that Mohammad reached the same level as mother Theresa which was 700 called unconditional love.
However, Mohammad also died by the sword and at the end of his life his level of consciousness was at 80 or 90 which is apathy. Guess who else was at that same level? The Nazi’s.
Hawkins also stated that is where all the jihad and violent parts of the Koran came from. They were written during the latter part of his life where he tried to force Islam on the world. By that time he was revered as gods profit his followers believed what ever he said.
I do not know what triggered him to go down that violent path but it left us with a religion that has a lot of teachings of love and brotherhood, but also encourages the most barbaric treatment of us “infidels” all in god’s name.
That’s why radical Islam is way more dangerous than the Nazi’s and Japanese ever were.
These guys actually believe that they are doing gods work. They are lost in the destructive energies of low consciousness and can not tell truth from falsehood or right from wrong if you will.
Moderate Muslims follow the more peaceful teachings of the Koran.
Hawkins stated those below the level of 200 are unable to determine truth from falsehood.
The collective level of consciousness of the USA as a whole is 450 which is logic and reason. The US constitution tests in the high 700’s.
Communism is below 200 which is the level of truth.
Like I said his book is a fascinating read.
September 25th, 2007 at 1:53 pm“….Hawkins noted that Mohammad reached the same level as mother Theresa which was 700 called unconditional love….”
Dude. Seriously now. Get a grip.

Corey, hilarious ! I hope you don’t buy this
come on German scientists were recovered by both US and URSS at the end of WWII ; therefore helping them on researching in diverse domains : as space, biology, chemicals arms… the organisation of the nazy Germany was scientifically programmed, nothing left in the aleas ; that’s make Germany a lot higher than 80 or 90 : and the 450 in US would be then a fake, as well the 200 for communist countries ; not nice for Russians ! I am curious where are the Frenchs on that one ?

K?
I also looked at your site. Be honest with me now Corey before I buy your book. Do I really have a chance with all those beautiful women? I look like on of Bash’s ‘pinheads’.

September 25th, 2007 at 2:51 pmHey, Corey, I have a nice roll of aluminum foil if you need to borrow it.
September 25th, 2007 at 2:58 pmSully,
I don’t agree with everything David Hawkins said in his book. I did learn some new things.
I read a lot of books and listen to a lot of CD’s. My attitude is if I learn just one new idea that improves my life, it was worth the purchase.
I believe we are all seekers of truth. What led Pat to come up with the crazy idea to bolt from Hollywood and go to a war zone with a camera?
He wanted to know the truth. The reason why I ended up here is I knew the MSM was not telling the truth.
The true leaders of the world go where no one else wants to go. They do the things no one else wants to do. They try the things most people are too afraid to try.
The really good hearted people like Pat then seek to educate the world about what they find to reduce the suffering of humanity. To do what’s right.
Sully, everyone has the ability to contribute to this world in a meaningful way.
What’s your contribution going to be?
As far as my book goes, if you don’t have the type of woman in your life that you feel you deserve the only way it is going to change is if you do something about it.
If you have convinced yourself 100% that you will never get a girl like the ones on my site and that there is nothing anyone can do to change that… then guess what? You are right. It’s hopeless, don’t waste your money.
If however, you believe there is a way, some small chance it’s possible, then buy my book and apply it diligently for 90 days. I guarantee it will completely change you as a man, and it will change how women respond to you forever.
When a soldier who is getting shot at in Iraq or under constant threat of getting blown up takes the time to write me and say:
“hey corey. i wanted to send you fan mail but i didnt see an address to send it. but i really wanted to thank you for this book. i’m accually deployed in iraq right now. been here for almost a year now. but the purpose of me buying this book is because my fiance, who was my first crush in 3rd grade, and i were having problems. and i needed to save whatever we had but it ended just a few days before i recieved the book. i still decided to read it to see where my mistakes were and man can i tell you how many lightbulbs turned on in my head. i knew where i went wrong and what i could have done to turn it around. even though it’s too late to save what i had with my ex, i now know how to be the man i’ve been trying to be. how to express myself in the right ways at the right times. once i started reading the book i couldnt put it down. i even brought it out on a mission with me and read it while sitting in a dirt hole while gun fire and bombs were going off all day. i also recommended your book to soo many friends of mine. i accually got one of my friends to buy your book for his brother who desperately needs it. i think he purchased it yesterday. i know you understand how much you’re helping everyone out there. but i still wanted to let you know. you have made a huge difference in my life. thank you again. i hope this gets to you. i dont get much time on the net out here.-M. Pratt”
If my book made a believer out of him then that should be good enough for you.
September 25th, 2007 at 3:23 pmHey Lamplighter, do you think the aluminum foil will help bring back Elvis?
September 25th, 2007 at 3:27 pmGreat string. Although I’m not totally buying the rational of putting a number to an idiology thing (humanity is much too random for such generalizations) there is some interesting points to be made. I come to this website daily because I have an open mind. I don’t in general go to liberal sites because I don’t need to constantly reaffirm my beliefs. I challenge them, constantly. My boss at work was awarded the Purple Heart three times as a Marine in Vietnam. One of my co-workers just got out of the Army as a Ranger with five tours under his belt since 9-11. We discuss our opinions freely and believe it or not we are more in agreement than in disagreement on current affairs. I am an unashamed liberal but not a looney liberal. I don’t mind coming into the posts here and presenting my views. Sure I get cussed at, called names, marginalized into what people generalize as liberals but I do it with respect. I enjoy reading the posts. I laugh at some of them for their idiocy and nod at some that form points I never thought of. If you surround yourself with like minded people you will get lost in your echo. So, I will keep posting, take it on the chin and avoid name calling. But you can be sure of one thing. You will never, ever hear me say anything negative about our brave men and women in harm’s way. They are truely the greatest.
September 25th, 2007 at 5:28 pmHey Lamplighter, you got any current Libs who have the moral inconsistancy at the level I listed for this decade. I mean why did you stop there? Hell you should have thrown in the Teapot Dome Scandal for good measure. The Republicans are going to lose several Senate seats and a baker’s dozen House seats due to the Republican moral consistancy. And who the hell is leading the race for President on the Republican ticket? A man who cheated on his wife (wives) and whose children hate him. If Hillary wins the Democratic ticket and Rudi his, you will see the mother (excuse the pun) of all dirty laundry airing. Is this the best we can do? Are you happy with either one running this country? I’m not.

People are going to see the folly of the dhimmicrat drive to Marxism Kipp.
September 25th, 2007 at 8:56 pmThis thing hasn’t even really started and you’re calling it? You work for MSNBC???
Kipp: maybe if the Republicans gave more women a chance by backing them financially as candidates, they would do better with the morality issue. They still run the party like a closed club. Also, there are others to pick from: McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Thompson. I am not happy with the two “baggage” candidates leading the pack (Billary/Guiliani), but let the chips fall where they may. Hey Corey: I WISH the foil would bring back Elvis!

The Republican Party holds the high ground over the moral relativity of the ‘left’. And it ain’t run like a “closed club”.
September 26th, 2007 at 6:01 pmWTF??
Sully, I have been observing the Cal. GOP for over a decade and it is run that way. It’s sad, but true. I get mad about it, and say I’m going to quit, but where would I go? I don’t mean women are morally superior, I just mean I think it would bring more balance to the party.
September 26th, 2007 at 11:31 pmWhile I have no experience myself with the Cali GOP, I do have two brothers that live in the Bay area that are members and would not agree. But if I felt that way about the VA GOP, I wouldn’t hesitate for a nanosecond to go Independent.
September 27th, 2007 at 1:48 amI do agree we could do more to be more inclusive but that is true of both parties. Much more so in the D Party in my view. At least at this point in history.
I feel for your brothers. I heard a statistic that there are 200,000 dems in Nancy Peloski’s district, and 40,000 repubs. I once had communication with the national party about cultivating a new generation of women to be GOP leaders and and the deputy director agreed, sent me a form to be a part of some consortium or something and I never heard from them again.
