Just got up about 30 mins ago. Working all night. Another rainy day here in L.A. A friend of mine got into a fight with about 20 haajis outside his house here in L.A….my friend leans to the Left but that may be ending…he’s a tough guy, been around the block…”I’ve never seen so much hate in someone’s eyes” he said. “No ” I said back, “You’ve just validated the last two years of my life”. “They’ve taken over the neighborhood, everything’s changed, they just keep pushing, taking”. And we’re talking about a nice neighborhood in expensive West L.A.

I told him his little world was now a microcosm of the bigger one.

1:10 P.M.

Still waiting for the election to become about issues. Last night, Obama spoke forever, and said nothing but “Can’t we all get along?”

That doesn’t translate into policy.

2:05 P.M.

RightHandGirl tells me she was just voted “Most Likely To Be The Next Stephen Colbert” in her High School Yearbook. She has to give a response to the award which will be published in the Yearbook. Any ideas?
