Video: Modern Dogfight, Pilot Locks On…Cool Vid
This video was taken by a pilot of the Hellenic Airforce. The video captures a dogfight between a Hellenic Mirage 2000-5 and a Turkish F-16. The location of the dogfight is believed to be over the north Eastern Aegean. The Turkish F-16 enters air space of the Hellenic Republic of Greece. A pair of Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets are dispatched. The ensuing dog fight results in a “lock” signal on the Turkish fighter by the Greek pilot.

January 8th, 2008 at 12:36 pmThat’s fine flying. The Mirage 2000 is a delta wing intercepter. The high bleed rate of the wing means the F 16 should fly circles around it.
