Al Sadr Declares National Mourning For Hezbollah Terror Chief

Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr has denounced the assassination of Hezbollah commander Imad Mugniyeh, declaring 3 days of mourning in Iraq.
“Moqtada al-Sadr issued a statement announcing mourning for three days in all Sadrist offices for the martyrdom of Imad Mugniyeh,” said a statement on Thursday.
Imad Mugniyeh, one of the central figures of the Lebanese movement of Hezbollah was killed in a car bombing in a residential neighborhood of the Syrian capital late on Tuesday.
“The Sadrist movement totally condemns the assassination,” said the statement, issued from Sadr’s office in the central shrine city of Najaf, Iraq.
