I love watching the news to pick out what is bullshit, but it's a complete shame when you can't even do that because they won't even report it anymore. My former Marine Infantry Battalion deployed to Anbar in Jan 2006 and returned 7 months later. They had lost 17 amazing Marines. That same Battalion deployed back to Anbar in August 2007 and just recently returned. They did not lose a single Marine. I guess it's just luck, right. Oh wait, Battalion after Battalion has been coming back unscathed. They must be lucky too. Well duh. I love watching the news to pick out what is bullshit, but it’s a complete shame when you can’t even do that because they won’t even report it anymore.

That same Battalion deployed back to Anbar in August 2007 and just recently returned. They did not lose a single Marine.

That's about 3500 per month vs fewer than 600 per month. And those numbers are once again terrorist violence unrelated to anything that America is doing. Hmmmm...looks like progress to me...
