After smoking pot for almost twenty years, I finally grew tired of it. However, I am not against decriminalization by any means, or even legalization for that matter. It's ridiculous for there to be any comparison of pot with any other Schedule I drug, and a waste of taxpayer's money to arrest, prosecute, and incarcerate non-violent "criminals" whose only "crime" is that perhaps they prefer weed over alcohol. Disagree? Alright then, let's at least decriminalize it for medicinal purposes. I don't know about anyone here, but I don't think giving pot to a terminally ill cancer patient is any worse than giving them morphine. And if nothing else, we could just legalize hemp, which has many productive uses, including food source, fuel, plastics, clothing, the list goes on and on. Personal feelings should not get in the way of this important debate. That's what got us into this prohibition mess in the first place. Just an opinion, and no I am not a liberal. Just a concerned citizen.
