Alright, this is how screwed-up in the head I am. I’m feeling entirely guilty for actually having slept since about midnight last night instead of having stayed up working on the site, the Fox script ( due in a few weeks ), the doc, etc. But gotta sleep sometimes. Getting by on 3 hour naps can’t last forever.
And a weird thing has happened, two Marines, seperate and apart from each other and without knowledge of each other’s actions, both of whom were on the helo that went down and took the lives of so many young men of 1/3 Charlie Company, that all three of us were supposed to be on ( I believe that they were not only pulled off at the last minute, but their packs remained on the bird ) each contacted me by email, and we are finally likely to speak of many things this weekend. One of which is the feature film that should be made about 1/3 Charlie’s journey from Hawaii to Fallujah, and beyond….I’ll let you know how that goes.
Got into a fender-bender last night. Poor little rich girl. No one even close to hurt, but her car was a week old and ( new silver super-expensive convertible Lexus ) which now had to bear a small scar FOR A WHOLE WEEK or so. You’d a thought she’s just lived through some genuine sacrifice, loss and pain in the world. I guess she had, in the world of Rich American Blonde Suburbia, but it was ridiculous. And I think she was quite displeased when the cops arrived and we all bonded over mutual friends and experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan, the psychology of police and military work, etc. I think she just wanted them to adjudicate and assassinate me on the spot for upsetting the Perfect Blonde Rich Life…. civilians….
The new PTR 91-K came in last night, been invited coyote hunting tomorrow…

Sons of Iraq Foil Kidnapping Attempt
Wednesday, 02 April 2008
TIKRIT  The Abna al-Iraq, or Sons of Iraq, prevented the kidnapping of two women and four children in Diyala, March 30.
The SOI in the village of Abu Harab fought off four vehicles full of al Qaeda in Iraq members after the victims had been apprehended. They recovered all the kidnapped victims.
“The quick reaction of these local heroes, the village’s Sons of Iraq, is yet another example of the strength and determination of Iraqis to fight for the peace they deserve,†said Maj. Dan Meyers Multi-National Division North’s spokesman.
No one was killed or injured in the incident.

Why people like me aren’t “Gun Nuts”:
From an email I recently received.
Pat,
My best friend had someone break into her house a few months back.
It got me worried that my family could be at risk as well. So I did some research on crime and home invasion and here’s what I found:
1. 1 out of every 5 homes will have a burglary, fire or carbon monoxide poisoning over the next 6 years.*
2. 9 out of 10 convicted burglars agreed that they would avoid a house protected by an alarm system.**
3. Every two minutes, somewhere in America, someone is sexually assaulted.
4. Violent crime rose by double-digit percentages in cities across the country over the last two years
5. A Home Security System makes your home 3 times less likely to be burglarized.
How long until your family or mine falls into one of these statistics?
I was so worried I went online and found a place that gives out $850 ADT alarm systems for Free.
However, it’s not available in every area. To check if its available in yours click here: http://zjd.superblueshield.com/nebnrvzbqe/bnr/
Be Safe,
