    I think its the block 3 CIWS “sea wiz” that has been updated to target small surface craft…like…I don’t know…speed boats in the Straights of Hormuz, maybe. That’ll be fun stuff.

    The Captain wanted to see the splash from the bridge one day when we were doing our daily op test :idea: so he told combat to slew the CIWS 90 to port and 0 elevation. When they performed the short buzz the water erupted as expected in a long line about a half mile out :eek:. But we were a little curious about the smattering of splashed just off the side of the ship :???: , …until we went looking for our HF antenna while trouble shooting the radio set later that morning. The CIWS had shot it off about 8 inches above its base :shock: . We put the remaining stub on a plaque for his trophy room :oops: .
