Fuck you, Jimmy Carter, you’re not welcome in my town, ever.

I’m just a little bit pissed off here…I mean, okay, he was talking about it, we were talking about it, the whole freakin’ world was talking about it, but it hadn’t actually happened the whole time we were talking about it, but now it has happened, and so now I will say something…

…I am extremely disappointed in Jimmy Carter. I have always tried, despite my mouth, to hold a place of respect in my heart for the President of the United States, even if I didn’t agree with or care for him.

Like Bill Clinton.

And like Jimmy Carter. It is an Office to be respected, regardless of what I may think of the President’s character (Clinton comes to mind here) I believe that sitting Presidents and ex-Presidents deserve my respect just by the mere fact that they were/are President of the United States.

But today, I honestly feel deep down inside, that Jimmy Carter has crossed a line that should not have ever been crossed. He put us as a country, and the entire civilized world, for that matter, in the awkward position of sending a signal to any and all terrorists, terror groups, and states that sponsor terrorism: We can talk.

The truth is: No, we can’t. We should never legitimize any terrorist, terror group, or state that sponsors terrorism and to do so is morally reprehensible.

Hamas does not deserve to be recognized. But Carter recognized them as equals and did what he did.

Even Hamas is now bragging that because Carter talked with them, they have finally been made legit.

I know that I write a lot of sort of light-hearted, sometimes irreverent things regarding politics and world events here, but what I say now, I say with all sincerity and in all seriousness:

Jimmy Carter has betrayed America, the American people, the civilized governments of the modern world, and he has betrayed Israel.

To betray Israel as a world leader (past or present) is definitely a mark you don’t want on your eternal record. If you get my drift.

I may have disagreed with Jimmy Carter’s policies and practices and political philosophies in the past, but I always felt a need to respect the man, as we should respect all former Presidents and public servants even if we disagree with their politics, we are still fellow Americans (remember back to the week following 9/11, the unity as a nation we felt).

But today he went too far. I do not respect him, or what he has done, and he should be stripped of all of his Presidential priveleges, rights, and honors. He should never receive one cent of taxpayer money ever again, and he should have his passport revoked. I am not a lawyer or a judge, so I don’t know the legal ramifications of what he has done. But I say this with all sincerity:
