Hussein: “Thinking About Being President Makes Me Lose Sleep At Night” - With Video
“When I lose sleep at night, it is not because I worry about what is going to happen in Pennsylvania or Indiana,’’ Sen. Barack Obama says. “When I lose sleep at night, it is because I think about being president and all the challenges that we have to face out there.’’
Obama, in an interview aired by NBC News’ Today Show this morning, reiterated his view that Sen. Hillary Clinton has every right to pursue a presidential nomination contest in which she appears unable to claim the majority of the party’s pledged delegates.

“I very much respect Sen. Clinton’s supporters for their passion and their enthusiasm,’’ Obama told NBC’s Ann Curry, who asked if he is just being “gracious’’ in saying Clinton has every right to keep running. “I am stating what I think is central to our democratic tradition, which is everybody has a right to run,’’ Obama said. “We won 11 contests in a row, and that didn’t knock her out. And that’s some tenacity on her part.
“As long as she’s in, I don’t take anything for granted.’’
Asked if he prays daily, Obama said: “Sometimes twice a day – depends on the day.’’
He declined to talk about any possible ticket with Clinton: “I think it is very premature for either of us to talk about vice presidential nominees, because right now we’re both in the thick of a battle to win the nomination.’’
Asked about his own personal preferences:
Beatles or Rolling Stones – “Rolling Stones.’’
Coffee or tea — tea.
Basketball or bowling?
“Not bowling,’’ said the candidate who bowled a 37 in a campaign demonstration in the lanes the other day. “You saw those gutter balls. That only shows that I’m willing to try new things…”
Asked if he was trying to lose:
“I never try to lose.’’

Yes Obby, that thought makes us lose sleep too.

Quite the contrast to Teddy Roosevelt. A statement for our times that a maladroit lawyer could become our President. Yeesh.
April 1st, 2008 at 11:04 amHussein had better loose sleep over what will happen to him if he DOES become prez.
April 1st, 2008 at 11:30 amWell he sounds ready to take on the mantle of the leader of the free world doesn’t he?
April 1st, 2008 at 11:39 amYeah, I lose sleep over the possibility of Osama Bin Lying becomming prez too. Fucking pussy.
April 1st, 2008 at 11:52 amI have nightmares about Obama becoming President. In the past, I have been against political candidates, but never worried that they would hurt the country. As a retired Coastie, I voted Republican because they usually gave good pay raises and supported the Military, but I was always respectful of all our Commanders in Chief. However, Obama, I believe, is a racist liar. I also believe that you could throw the word hypocrite into the mix. I would not like it, but he could gain some respect if he only admitted what he really stands for.
