and once again, the military wonders why SO many young soldiers and marines get married at 19.
in the states, it’s a PAID ticket out of the shithole barracks and constant harassment of base life, in Iraq, it’s a chance to get laid and get some peace at night.

Divorce rates are about to skyrocket.

But think of it this way, if the soldiers get bored enough i’m sure they’ll rig up a hidden camera and sell it on the internet making millions. They are bored enough. But I’m with them this may not be the smart move, but us teenagers will screw this world up by our inability to suck things up or just the fact that the majority of us want everything handed to us. Yea I apologize for my generations screw ups. But hey i’m a republican and i understand i have to work for things.

I see a downside. If a rocket hits their quarters, children lose both parents. In a segregated male-female seperate barracks setup, if a rocket hits a barracks, only one parent is lost.
