ANDERSON, Ind. — Sen. Barack Obama says he is not interested in any new debates before May 6 primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, according to excerpts of an interview to be broadcast Sunday on “FOX News Sunday.”
A partial transcript, as provided by a FOX News producer:
Chris Wallace: Why are you ducking another debate with Senator Clinton?
Obama: I’m not ducking one. We’ve had 21 (laughs)…We want to make sure we’re talking to as many folks possible on the ground, taking questions from voters.
Wallace: No debates between now and Indiana?
Obama: We’re not going to have debates between now and Indiana.
