Rove's point has a point; Oblabla used the Big Lie off the bat to claim the "Uniter" standard, and it's 180º false.

they are both wrong. Its meant to distance the 2 from each other, so that obama can outright claim that he doesnt share the views that he has heard for 20 years. this man was like family. this is a ruse.

This is a very interesting discussion. It seems to me that there are several scenarios at work here.

If Obama is sincere, then he has been blindsided by Wright's change in message, and that he is more of a fool than previously thought, and incapable of discerning even the most blatant character of a person.

If Obama isn't sincere, then he knows the message that Wright has been preaching, and has a further hidden agenda, and is more dangerous to America than previously thought (and I didn't think it was possible for him to be more dangerous to America).

If Wright is sincere, then he is completely self-absorbed and lacks the knowledge that his continued outbursts do more damage than good to Obama.

If Wright isn't sincere, then it would appear that he is trying to undermine Obama's campaign, as Gingrich has said, to claim the "black leader" mantle held by Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton.

Either way, it's an interesting little dance.
