Thanks, Pope, but I'll spend my prayers on the US Marine Corps, not a bunch of pedophile-worshipping scumbags.

Terrorists are why we have bullets and bombs.

Prayers are for civilized people, or hadn't you heard?

what a piece of shit this freak is, don't forget he was an anti aircraft gunner in the german army during WW2, killing American and Allied airmen. He even looks like the Devil. I hope some decent New Yorker shoves that queer hat right up his papal ass!

Well, it is apparent HE won't be our "Fearless Leader" in the 21st Century Crusades ...

Pity.

St. (Bishop) Malachy (d. 1148) predictions regarding the Popes since his time have been pretty scary close.

Supposedly this one is the next to the last Pope.

Here's the last scoop:

The Current Pope

111. Benedict XVI - The New Pope Joseph Ratzinger was elected the 265th pope on April 19, 2005 a few days after his 78th birthday.
           (The glory of the olive)
The olive branch represents peace. Will he play a role in bringing the religions together and furthering tolerance during his office? Within 24 hours of his election, Islamic and Jewish religious leaders suggested just such a role for him. Hopefully, he can lead the religious world to recognize and focus upon the commonality of their belief in the same God rather than their differences
Perhaps through the implementation of tolerance we can look to a future where people stop justifying the killing of one another in the name of God. Let us see what the future will bring.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the future

112. The LAST POPE!
(Peter the Roman) "In extreme persecution, the seat of the Holy Roman Church will be occupied by Peter the Roman, who will feed the sheep through many tribulations, at the term of which the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the formidable Judge will judge the people. The End."

But, hey ... Who's counting??

Some of the posters here really bring down PatDollard.com to the levels of youtube with all the 13 year olds and riff raff. Bash & Pat do an outstanding job of posting really interesting, thought-provoking & edgy stuff, but I'm increasingly feeling like the "community" part of this website is gone. Can't bring myself to post among so many hateful people, racists, homophobes, etc.

Not that it matters, or ever did, but I'm outta here. To all the other military-loving, pro-Christian, pro-Israel, ultra-conservatives:

In the West we have the golden rule. There is no such principal in Islam. There is only the duality of beliver and non-believer.

There is no such thing as "humanity" in Islam either; nor is there any universal statement of ethics either.

All the religions of the world have some sort of universal code of ethics...except Islam.

In Islam, a Muslim is not suppose to lie, cheat, steal or kill other Muslims. But a Muslim may lie, cheat, deceive or kill a non-believer if it advances the cause of Islam.

Praying for a vast Muslim awakening...a counter-jihad if you will; is fine and dandy. However, it will not stop them as the Christians and Jews found out in Mohammed's Mecca period.

Something like 270 million non-believers have died over the last 1400 years of Islam.

It's always a good time to pray. And even the Bible teaches that "there is a time for peace and a time for war".
This is not the time for peace. We gave peace a chance. Now it is time for war.

On at least four occassions Christ or his followers ran into Roman soldiers. Even those followers and JC himself seemed to understand that previous quote from the OT. Otherwise, they would have been extremly critical of those soldier's profession....they weren't.

And what did Christ say to the Roman Centurion: "Do you see this man? I tell you that never in all of Israel have I seen faith such as this man has".

The correct (Hebrew) interpretation of the commandment is Thou Shalt not murder. Not Thou shalt not kill.

Get with the program peaceniks.

Until all men think like the Pope, I choose to keep my sword points bright. I suggest if anyone else wishes to preserve Western civilization...that they do the same.

We may have been sent out as sheep among wolves, but I see nothing in Scripture that prevents a soldier or a home-owner from protecting his family or his nation from the scum that is Islam.

The hippie says: “But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you”

I believe it was Christ that....wait for it....3...2..1, KICKED THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF FAKE PRIESTS AT THE TEMPLE!

I repeat, FAKE PRIESTS.

There's also that place called Gehenna/Hades/Hell. Not a very loving place from what I hear.

Read your Bible....dick-weed.

Killing a terrorist is the most compassionate thing a person can do. The poor slobs are writhing in misery. And while the poor bastards are gasping for their last breath of air, PRAY for the sons-of-BITCHES!

“But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you”

Somehow I don't get the feeling this is an effective strategy against our enemies. If Joe US Marine were to drop his weapon and start praying that Abdullah the Jihadist will change his ways, that church you want to run just might never happen.

That line you quote is the perfect prayer for sheep, and not the Agnus Dei kind.

 Cav scout that was disgusting.
 Dannyboy, don't.

Interesting, I would love to be there.

I was not too happy with the pope original statements regarding the war against radical islam and the iraq front.

He seems to be changing, re this and the public conversion of the individual from islam to catholicism.

I hope his visits St. Paul Chapel next to the hole.

http://www.saintpaulschapel.org/

I received this prayer on a card I carry with me daily; it was given out following the daily service at the chapel.

The prayer of St. Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred…let me sow love
Where there is injury…pardon
Where there is doubt…faith
Where there is despair…hope
Where there is darkness…light
Where there is sadness…joy
Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled…as to console
To be understood…as to understand,
To be loved…as to love
For it is in giving…that we receive,
It is in pardoning, that we are pardoned,
It is in dying…that we are born to eternal life.

Its amazing how many conservative people liked this guy when he was Cardinal Ratzinger, but now that he is Pope they want to feed him to the wolves.
What's wrong with going to this sacred site and offering up prayers for the victims? The pope is fighting this 'war' as I'd expect the figurehead would- intellectual debate (in a well publicized forum)in an attempt to challenge Islam to "recognize the plank in its own eye."
 Brad(future priest) a prayer for one is a prayer for all (my turn on the jewish proverb that to kill one is to murder the world)
