“The Hypocrisy Of The Left” or “F*ck Character!”

The far Left is going bonkers today over that last debate. Screaming “Nevermind about their character! Let’s hear where they stand on the issues!” As if there is much difference between the two of them. They ranted and raved and whined about how the first 45 minutes never touched on any “political” issues, but only dealt with “character” issues.
But character is everything…
The hypocrisy of these far-left nut-jobs just zings right over their left shoulders.
Did you know that the viewership of the debate actually peaked one hour into it? This means that people wanted to see and hear the things that were being asked.
This is just a prime example of how far out of touch the far left in this country is.
Most Americans care more about the character of their president, than his/her ideas on health care or how to boost the economy. The character of a person tells us more about how a person would react to or handle certain situations than any statement they could make or plan they could present, and in a post 9/11 world where we have crazed world leaders on the verge of obtaining serious weapons of mass destruction, and the cancer of islamic jihad lying dormant in almost every cell of our earthly bodies; in a world where today we could be watching the Super Bowl and tomorrow we could be mourning the death of hundreds, thousands of people at the hands of screaming lunatics…
…at this pivotal time in human history, when the decisions our leaders make over the next decade will have ramifications well into the next century, it is the character of our leaders that is important.
We need leaders who understand that staying in Iraq is essential; leaders who understand that dealing with Iran today is far more preferable than dealing with them tomorrow; leaders who understand that the evil that is islamic jihad neither slumbers nor sleeps but is hiding in the closet, plotting and planning and waiting for openings and looking for opportunities; leaders who understand that our porous southern border is a conduit for all manner of unspeakable evil that goes well beyond migrant workers and coyotes, and provides passage for weapons and personnel, and a silent invasion of people who have no desire to become Americans, but have every intention of bleeding her dry, getting her high, and cutting her throat; we need leaders who understand that how these specific threats are dealt with over the next couple of years is far more important than whether or not Roger Clemens used steroids, or if we should impeach an outgoing president.
Character is everything.
But the far left will not be denied their insanity…
MoveOn.org has gone and put up a petition on their website that says:
“Debate moderators abuse the public trust every time they ask trivial questions about gaffes and ‘gotchas’ that only political insiders care about. Enough with the distractions–ABC and other networks must focus on issues that affect people’s daily lives.”
Last count had over 200,000 signatures, heh heh. They’re all pissed off because Gibson and Steph spent the first 45 minutes or so asking questions with regard to the candidates character, and not about the issues.
They even put up this little video on You Tube:
Larry Kudlow has a good article about it at the NRO, as does Noel Sheppard at Newsbusters, but the bottom line is this…
Character is everything.
