Video: Teenage Girls In Another Beating Video, Epidemic?

So which is it? An increase in teenage girl fights? An epidemic? Or simply more cameras in the world than ever before?
I’m leaning toward more cameras, although one can’t deny the fact that some of these kids purposely start the fights and tape them so that they can put them up on sites like You Tube…so…
Another group of bubblegum chewers lured another teen girl into a beating video. This time in Clarksville, Indiana…
CLARKSVILLE, Ind. — A fight at Thunder Over Louisville was caught on tape. Now police are trying to catch up to the teens involved.
Disturbing” is how Clarksville Police Chief Dwight Ingle described the fight and video involving a group of seventh-graders.
“Kids make mistakes. You do dumb things when you’re a kid, but one of these kids could have died,” said Ingle.
Police said before hundreds of thousands enjoyed Thunder Over Louisville in Ashland Park, a group of girls arranged the set up in a parking lot. The suspect called a classmate to meet her there. When the girl arrived, she encountered five other girls and a host of recording devices.
“We can do it right here. We can do it right [expletive] here,” she said on the tape.
The girl police are calling the victim actually threw the first punch, but got the worst of the brawl when the suspect picked up a handful of rocks.
“She grabs those rocks… I mean, this kid could have been killed. There’s a possibility of deadly force being used there,” Ingle said. “She was hit at least two times we could make out on the video with the rocks.”
The fight was over in less than two minutes, and quickly found its way on Photobucket.com for fellow students at Clarksville Middle School to see.

Clark Community Schools Superintendent Stephen Fischer said social networking sites are a growing problem.
“It’s not a good situation and it creates a lot of problems for us,” he said. “We haven’t had a whole lot of situations here. This is the second or third one, but it’s not good.”
Last month, a group of girls in Florida were arrested for videotaping the beating of another girl.
Earlier this month, Scott County authorities arrested teens involved in a fight video posted on YouTube.
Clarksville detectives fear this latest fight is a copycat situation. The chief said it’s a fad police will work to end, but believe parents need to join the fight.
“It’s really hard to keep track of your kids all day. You have to work, you have to make a living, but on this Internet, try to monitor your kids and explain to them there’s consequences,” Ingle said.
The victim suffered a chipped tooth and minor head trauma.
The chief said he had officers stationed not far from there, but they had no idea the fight was taking place.
Ingle said he’s disgusted by a group of adults on the tape who didn’t break it up.
