    fun times on the flight deck! one of the most helpless feelings i had was watching one of our guys get blown down and rolling toward an E-2 that was turned up and ready to roll out. nothing any of us could do as he was rolling toward the turning prop. about 20 feet from the hawkeye, he was able to grab an eye pad and stop. we walked with him down to our shop and he was chewed up. his jersey and trousers were torn, he was scraped and bruised, and alive! i think he sat in the shop for about 30 minutes, shaking and didn’t talk much. he went back, changed his jersey and came back on deck. he may have changed his skivvies too, heh. i don’t even remember his name now. but i do remember the sinking feeling in my gut and just watching him roll. about the 2nd worse feeling i can imagine, only eclipsed by being the one who is “rolling”. kinda like sleeping with a fat girl… but i’ll stop there, and yes, i’ve been drinking, heh. :beer:
