Example: belief in myth that talking to dictators will change those dictators’ behavior and not weaken themselves to those dictators in direct proportion to the length and quantity of such discussions while also failing to recognize that such talking also gives the rational dictator prestige and power at home and aboard and enables him to do more of what that very “talker” claims he’s trying to change or prevent. Also prone to the mistaken belief that all of the afflicted’s hopes, dreams and fantasies will be fulfilled somehow by same politician’s election to president of the U.S., and also based on nothing other than the afflicted’s mis-perceptions of the word, “change”.
