‘Non-Existent’ Gay Iranian Given Asylum In Great Britain

London - (AKI) - A gay Iranian teenager who feared execution for his sexual orientation if he were deported, has been granted asylum in Britain.
An Iranian soldier, known only as BE, who deserted the military also won the right to stay in the UK. He had deserted rather than lay anti-personnel landmines.
Mehedi Kazemi, 19, came to London to study English in 2005, but later discovered his boyfriend had been convicted of sodomy in Iran and hanged.
Gay equality organisation Stonewall welcomed the news that Kazemi may stay in Britain.
“We are delighted and very grateful to Jacqui Smith for her intervention as Home Secretary [interior minister] and for the work that Simon Hughes, as the local MP, did on the case,” said Ben Summerskill, chief executive of Stonewall.
“We are also pleased that, answering questions in the House of Commons, the Foreign Office ministers have acknowledged the danger that gay people face in Iran.”
EU lawmakers at the European Parliament in Strasbourg called on Britain in March to look favourably on Kazemi’s attempts to secure asylum, saying he would be executed if he were deported to Iran.
The Iranian authorities “routinely imprison, torture and execute homosexuals,” the lawmakers said in a resolution.

I remember ahmadickwad’s comment very well. I could not stop laughing at his smug incredulous response.
It would be nice to see the people of Iran revolt against this idiot and remove him.
Glad they got asylum but there are many who will not and the hangings of the “non-existent” peoples will continue.

Its true that gays dont exist in Fascist moslims states like Iran, they’ll take care of that!
The Moslim attitude towards homosexuality is a twisted one. As young (straight)guys are so separated from women it is informally allowed to have sexual experiences with (gay or bi and often young)guys before marriage. In Saudi Arabia they even have forbidden same sex parties in the desert.
Bisexuality is quite normal in a lot of Moslim countries, but psst dont talk about it! Your still a guy if your “active” during intercourse…and as long as you dont look like a drag queen, get married and make children nobody has to know..
No problem as long as you do whats in the Koran: Who can marry should marry…so gays are no problem as long as they produce more members/soldiers for the Islam
Recently the Islam won this birth competition and has now worldwide more members than the Catholic church…
