Appearing on this crap show is beneath the dignity of the office of President of the United States. Not a single laugh from that script and not many from that show since Billy Crystal left. McLame on Saturday Night Lame…fitting.

Hey it’s a good thing that he can go on that show. Granted the show’s not NEARLY as good as it used to be, but he was still able to make fun of himself. Something that Obama in his “dignity” wouldn’t be able to do, because he’s the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Yeah Juan, keep up all the high end “dignity of the office” bullshit—SNL, my ass.
About the same classless act as that John F’n Kerry would try to pull off.

Sad state of affairs when the GOP candidate for POTUS is trying to drum up votes by making a fool of himself. During a time of war, I’d much rather have a leader who acts like a C-In-C and tells people the truth, not some pandering BS. The only way the Republicans are going to climb out of the hole they dug is to act like the party of responsible adults and not the Democrat Lite party.

This is a smart strategy by McCain, to the point, usually only Liberals and Leftists actually watch SNL with any regularity. The target audience was not conservatives but Libs and Leftists, This appearance does two things. It disarms the political propagandists from negatively spinning the obvious about McCain in the campaign. In that he is in fact Old. Now that McCain is acknowledging it with humor he, in effect, mutes the issue as a campaign tool. The second thing it does is humanizes McCain against the hardcore demonization of the Left and is aimed at moderate Democrats.

It does nothing to alleviate the concerns of conservatives from his image as a panderer.

Exactly what I was thinking. As for the General Election, we will be seeing ALOT more of the CINC McCain. While Obama squanders over how he’s going to lower gas prices and save polar bears, McCain will be touching on the IMPORTANT issues.

I also believe that McCain should make public that it isn’t a single person who has the ability to effect the economy, but rather everyone. Moreover he should give examples of those he’d appoint to help improve the economy, rather than saying he’s a one man show. I believe that a President who knows his own strengths and weaknesses is better than one who’s seen as Christ incarnate and probably believes the same himself.
