Alaska Gov. Palin To Pinky Reid, “Drill ANWR Now!”

Palin Urges Congress to Open ANWR
Oil & Gas Development for Sound Energy Policy
Governor Palin Urges Congress to Open ANWR
June 23, 2008, Anchorage, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today urged members of Congress to enact legislation that would allow oil and gas development in a small portion of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
In a letter addressed to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and key members of Congress, Governor Palin stressed the need to enact an energy policy that includes oil and gas production from domestic sources, since failure to enact a sound energy policy is having real-life consequences. The Governor reminded members of Congress that the footprint of development would be less than 2,000 acres. She also assured members that any development would be conducted in a responsible and environmentally safe manner.
A copy of the letter can be found here. (pdf)
The paradise that is ANWR … Yeah, fucking drill the bitch … NOW!

“Yeah, fucking drill the bitch … NOW!”

June 23rd, 2008 at 7:46 pmHer policies are pretty damn solid and she is pretty good lookin’ to boot. McCain should comtemplate her for the ticket.
June 23rd, 2008 at 7:53 pmMcCain would be wise to have this woman and her family on the ticket.
June 23rd, 2008 at 7:56 pmWow. Gov. Palin,
’s for you.
But the letter was 2 pages long and had three syllable words in it…this might be a problem.
“We can’t drill our way out”…one syllable words only.
After drinking all that Kool-Aid, I’m not sure the Dems can handle much more than two syllable words.
Think about rewriting it…shorter…with smaller words…and in crayon.
June 23rd, 2008 at 8:01 pmWith LOTS of pretty pictures … Well, see above pic of ANWR … not much to work with there for ‘pretty’ …

And then I’d vote for it.
June 23rd, 2008 at 8:46 pmAmazing how the people that live in Alaska say “Drill the bitch, get ‘er done”, while the Beltway bureaucrats who don’t live there or know shit about it say “Oh,no,no,no, you’ll harm the environment.”
Sure doesn’t sound like representation of the people by the people to me - sounds more like representation of the special interests (read environmentalist whakos) by the sugardaddies (read power hungry, favour-granting, anti-progress liberal demoncrats).

June 23rd, 2008 at 9:01 pmGov Palin - you go girl
Gov Palin is a pretty amazing woman…she just gave birth to a child with Downs Syndrome(I believe). She knew he was likely to be born so but refused to even consider “terminating the pregnancy” (what a hateful euphemism) and will raise him with the same love and caring as her other children. I think she would be an excellent VP choice for many reasons but the shining example of her love for her unborn son is at the top of my list.
June 23rd, 2008 at 9:17 pmShe’s definitely easy on the eyes and she sounds conservative to the core, unlike many republicans in the lower 48.
June 23rd, 2008 at 9:57 pmIf they polan a photo op, better do it quick. The season last June and July, else it’s either too dark, too cold, or the bugs are too thick.
McAMNESTY did say he would leave it up to the States. Even Gov Crist said drill, before Florida goes totally broke.
June 23rd, 2008 at 10:15 pm
’s for you.
June 23rd, 2008 at 11:24 pmMac Pick Palin Veep BEFORE Hil Campaigns w/Obama!
In addition to her overwhelming attraction on the oil/energy issue and the female/disaffected Hillary voters, her human interest story will generate millions and millions of dollars worth of publicity and media coverage — essentially free to the McCain campaign — more than offsetting Obama’s reported money advantage.
June 24th, 2008 at 12:33 amMy goodness….Governor Sarah Palin sure is HAWT….
June 24th, 2008 at 12:45 amShes my pick 4 VP
June 24th, 2008 at 1:48 amnice bitch slap to reid
June 24th, 2008 at 2:12 amI’d hit it
June 24th, 2008 at 4:30 amLeave it to the Dhimmi’s to stand in the way of job and wealth creation. Oh yeah and State’s rights.
June 24th, 2008 at 4:30 amWow, what a rare find! From outward appearances right now it appears there is indeed a politician with a spine and a big pair of balls, although metaphorically.
McLameBrain should just fly to Anchorage now, tour ANWR with the Governor, say “I have seen the light and have an energy policy, and that is to bankrupt the despots, and by the way this is my VP”.
A tough ball buster of a woman who gets things done, with a Son in the Army to boot along with the recent addition to her family. Dhimmis would be cooked and done.
June 24th, 2008 at 6:09 amJust a side note, if we “drill here, drill now, pay less” as they say, I have read the job creation alone in the US would be anywhere from 50,000 to 250,000 good paying middle class jobs in areas that need it. My numbers may be off, but these aren’t the type of jobs a politico can outsource over a fancy steak dinner.

it looks like she’s smiling and waving at me.
June 24th, 2008 at 7:07 amTBinSTL,
One of the many solid, conservative beliefs she holds is the right to life. Many talk about their pro-life beliefs, she lived them;

June 24th, 2008 at 7:10 amI’ve got a line on a modular facility to have an up and running processing plant for the crude in one year. It is built for Arctic climates. The government already has sunk exploratory wells that could produce a couple hundred thousand barrels per day without any additional drilling (more is needed)
However long it would take to build a pipeline to extend a branch of Alyeska to ANWAR (should it take more than a year) is how long it will take to get it to market.
Unless the environmental wackjobs and the courts hold it up, there is no friggin way it will take ten to twenty years. It will not even take three years to get it to market.
June 24th, 2008 at 7:31 amGreat letter, great governor, great candidate for VP. Too bad her ideas will fall on the deaf ears of liberal scum in congress who enjoy seeing Americans reach their breaking point with energy costs. What would happen if a state like Alaska seceded, drilled their oil, sold it to the world, and became a tremendous economic success. Can you say chain reaction, and mass immigration to Alaska?
