Nothing but glass…..

DUBAI (AFP) - UN atomic watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei warned that any attack on Iran would transform the region into a “ball of fire,” in an interview with Al-Arabiya television broadcast on Saturday.

His comments come after US media reported that Israeli jet pilots trained for a possible strike on Iranian nuclear sites.

“A military strike (against Iran) would in my opinion be worse than anything else… It would transform the Middle East region into a ball of fire,” said ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Should a strike be carried out, he told the Dubai-based channel, he would find it impossible to continue as head of the IAEA.

An attack, he added, would do nothing but harden Iran’s position in its row with the West over its nuclear programme.

“A military strike would spark the launch of an emergency programme to make atomic weapons, with the support of all Iranians, including those living abroad,” ElBaradei said.

He did not believe, he added, that there was any “imminent risk” of proliferation given the current status of Iran’s nuclear programme and made it clear he would “not have a place” as head of the IAEA in the event of a military strike against Iran.

The New York Times on Friday cited US officials as saying a major military exercise carried out by Israel earlier this month seemed to be a test-run for any potential strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

In Athens, an official with the Greek air force’s central command confirmed to AFP the substance of the report, stating that it had taken part in “joint training exercises” with Israel off the Mediterranean island of Crete.

The manoeuvres, code-named “Glorious Spartan 08,” took place on May 28 and June 12, and consisted of aerial exercises and knowledge exchange, said the Greek source, who requested anonymity.

The goal was for more than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighter jets to prepare for long-range strikes and demonstrate Israel’s serious concern over Iran’s nuclear ambitions, the Times reported.

On June 6 an Israeli Deputy Prime Minister, Shaul Mofaz, warned that Iran would face attack if it pursues what he said was its nuclear weapons programme.

In Tehran, senior cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami warned Israel of a “strong blow” if it attacks Iran.

“If enemies, especially Israelis and their supporters in the United States, would want to use a language of force, they should rest assured that they will receive a strong blow in the mouth,” Khatami said in his Friday prayers sermon.

Iranian government spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham told reporters on Saturday that an attack by Israel was “impossible.”

Hey Baredei…yeah I’m talking to you…you schmuck…I hope your jihadi ass is in Iran when the shit starts. Good riddence when you’re gone al-Himar.

  2. Birdddog

How would he know if the ME would turn into a “ball of fire”? Hmmm..ball of fire = nuke? You are an asshole Elbaradei. I think you have stalled for Iran more than Iran has stalled for itself. :gun: :gun: :gun:

Let the fireworks begin with a roman candle up Baredei’s Islamic spying ass!

Hey Baredei, you piece of shit, STFU.
You piece of crap Islamic enableler. :gun:

  5. DC

“Ball of fire”?…….It’s already a “ball of fire”. Removing Iran’s ability to wage atomic warfare will only stabilize things in the ME, you fucking, lying asshat Elbaradei!!!
We can always tell when you’re lying……cuz your mouth is moving…………

“Should a strike be carried out, he told the Dubai-based channel, he would find it impossible to continue as head of the IAEA.”

And yet another good reason to do the deed.

  7. Connor

Im wondering, does Iran really think that they can defeat Israel and America? They act like it and talk like it. Are they just crazy or are they not aware of our military might? Anybody got an answer to this question?

When did Baghdad Bob take up residence in Tehran? I can hear the turbines whirling as we speak.

Baredei don’t let the door hit ya where your allah split ya
    on the way out.

The biggest, baddest Military lasted less then a month against us…. and 1/3 of the force we wanted to use, never got into the fight. If the Middle East turns into a ball of fire, it will be over Iran, not Israel.

  11. tedders

    What Sully and Natalie said!!

Ball of fire? We’ll bring marshmellows!!!

“A military strike would spark the launch of an emergency programme to make atomic weapons, with the support of all Iranians, including those living abroad,” ElBaradei said.

How will they do that under constant destructive visitations by stealth bombers and cruise missiles?

ElBaradei is obfuscating again. IAEA like the rest of the UN is an abject failure if you believe they had as a mission the suppression of nuclear weapons. If you believe, as I do, their mission was to give cover for Islamic States to develop nukes they’ve nearly succeeded.

Either way Iran must and will be stopped from becoming a nuclear power.

  13. tedders

What the hell does the director general of the International Atomic Energy think he knows about the political will of the NON Muslim world. When this asshat is removed from his position Iran and Syria might see that the west is serious about dismantling their capacity to make nuclear arms. The guy is as transparent as the Mullah’s of Iran in his agenda to expand the Islamists power over the west. Make sure he’s on a visit to the Iranian nuclear facilities when the bunker busters are released!!

“A military strike would spark the launch of an emergency programme to make atomic weapons, with the support of all Iranians, including those living abroad,” ElBaradei said.

ahhhhhhhhhh, excuse me, but they already have an emergency programme. They want to speed up the return of the Madhi by destroying Israel and bringing about an apocalyptic event. The Iranian president writes poems about the joys of being a martyr nation. He has a death wish.

Let the bombs fall now before its too late. The doctrine of pre-emptive warfare is a good one.

The Iranians want the mullahs gone. they want it to be peaceful, but one the dick heads are gone they will still be glad.

  15. Kurt(the infidel)

El Baradei is nothing more than a Jihadist sympathizer. he would obviously for his own people when they are up against “the great Satan”. or “the little Satan” as they call us and Israel. Screw this guy and every single one of his muslim friends.

  16. Specter

    Let the shithole burn then.

  17. SOC

Good we get rid of Iran and Baradei, two for one. I like it. Bomb Iran now!!!

  18. Mike Swann

Really, a ball of fire; I an wondering if ElBaradei is postulating on what he really know about Iran?

May be its is time for Iran to F with the bull.

In any event, Iran will positively be roasted beyond recognition if they decide to try out one of their primitive devices.

Personally, I despise Iran alomst as much as Carter.

  19. Mike Swann

    Let me clarify:

Personally, I despise Shia almost as much as Carter.

  20. salaam, hala shoma

Salaam, hala shoma (”hello, how are you” in Persian).

There’s only one problem with making war against Iran: Iran’s younger generation is disillusioned with Islamic extremists and very pro-West. Many are secret atheists. If a war starts, Ahmadinajad will probably repeat what Khomeini did when Saddam Hussein bombed Iran in the 1980s: put the young males in the front lines. In the 1980s, those of the B’hai faith went first. Some were as young as eight-years-old.

—“A military strike (against Iran) would in my opinion be worse than anything else… It would transform the Middle East region into a ball of fire,” said ElBaradei, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).—

If that is what they ask for….

Its like cancer, the longer u wait without doing anything, the harder and bigger it grows. So political surgeons of the world: postpone the operation?

  22. Dan (The Infidel)

    @salaam, hala shoma

Salem. No doubt you are right. However, the world cannot stand by and allow the Ayatollahs and their little puppet-boy Ahmedthemutiprick to get nukes.

If the Iranian people were to get rid of that apostate regime, they would be doing the world and themselves a big favor.

Barring that outcome, neither Israel or the US or Europe can take the chance that after developing nukes, that the Iranian military wouldn’t then carry out their oft-repeated threat to wipe Israel off the map; or launch a suicidal nuclear attack US forces.

The stakes are too high anymore. Whether the IDF or the US stops the Ayatollah’s apocolyptic vision for the world…in the end it matters not.

    It’s going to happen.

That attack may be a chance for the Iranian opposition to act and get rid of the slave-masters in Tehran.

In any event, the Iranian military won’t be facing Iraq’s old Baathist Army; they’ll be facing a much more powerful adversary; one that they will regret messing with.

I hope that the Iranian people will understand that the comming war is not against them. There are many of us in the US that would like to see the Iranian opposition strengthened with arms and training.

Overthrowing the apostates in Tehran is the only way of stopping an all-out assault on the Iranian government nuclear program.

And in addition to the growing dirth of atheists, there are many Christian Iranians. Their numbers are growing daily.
You got a lot of friends.

  23. NV Sailor

Isn’t this the same guy that said Iran only had like five centrifuge’s a day before that country announced it had over 2000?

  24. Q_Mech

 Sully, right on. What an arrogant prick, as if he’s such a prize that we’ll lose him if we don’t do what he says! Apparently he enjoyed a spot of delusion with his coffee this morning. Unreal. Oh, and let’s not forget the part about how he’s apparently okay with this whole thing as long as the “balls of fire” show up over Tel Aviv. Jackass.

And Salaam, you’ve pointed out a conundrum, but it isn’t really something that we can do something about. If the younger generation had done something to reign in their elders by now, great! But they haven’t, and those elders are leading the country down a very one-way path towards destruction. I’m personally convinced that military action is inevitable. Where the younger generation in Iran is concerned, I think we need to make it very clear to them that their elders have dragged us all kicking and screaming towards this end, and that the elders are the ones who need to be held accountable.

Because, honestly - what the hell do they think is going to happen? That they’ll come out as winners? They’re going to come out dead, is how.

  25. Q_Mech

Oh, and let’s have another big round of applause for the idiots who gave el Baradei the Nobel Peace Prize. Nice job, kids - your BDS got the better of your common sense. Now, if this whole thing leads to nuclear war then the Nobel committee will be complicit.

    Fucking idiots.

    Dan (the infidel):

Thanks….Has anyone seen “Not Without My Daughter” lately? A full-length feature film with Sally Fields. A true story about an American and her daughter who were held hostage in Iran during Khomeini’s regime. An excellent adaptation from the autobiography with examples of Iranians who helped her escape…. You’re right; we have to remember that not all Iranians are extremist Muslims. There’s a small but strong Catholic base there, etc….

Check your bookstores for riveting bios of Iranians and Iraqis who lived through false imprisonment and torture under Khomeini and Saddam Hussein. There’s a lot!
