    I just met a guy from Winfield the other day, I was buying used tires from him. He buys take offs from mechanics around him for a dollar and sells the usable ones for ten bucks on Craigslist and buries the rest in an old gravel quarry on his land….everybody wins.
    I’m thinking those folks in Winfield are plenty resourceful and they’ll be all right.

    I haven’t seen the MSM full of whining MO, KS, IL, WI flood victims. Gee, they must be smarter than those doofuses in New Orleans, who actually could have prevented their problems of being stranded, if they had followed orders to leave(except for the sick/old). And I don’t see roving bands of people with guns, breaking windows and carrying away bigscreen TVs. Oh, and the local officials must have allocated their funds properly to assist housing, feeding flood victims (funds given to them after 9/11 by the feds–what happened to the $ in New Orleans?).

    Oh, if it hit certain parts of StLouis there would be plenty of whining and pity-partying. Folks in places like rural MO are still quite capable of taking care of themselves and each other.
