Debate: McCain’s Squad Crushes Hussein’s On “Is America Safer?”

This from the NYPost:
June 12, 2008 — If only John McCain could use surrogates instead of having to debate Barack Obama in person.
The other day in Toronto, McCain’s team, his foreign-policy adviser Niall Ferguson and conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer, crushed the Obama squad - made up of Samantha Power, who had to step down from his campaign after calling Hillary Clinton “a monster,” and Richard Holbrooke, who was Bill Clinton’s UN ambassador.
Before the debate, only 21% of the audience agreed with the motion that “the world is a safer place with a Republican in the White House.”
Two hours later, the mostly liberal, anti-George Bush crowd had a profound change of heart: 43% ended up voting for the motion.
“Was it simply that Power was the weakest of the speakers on the stage?” columnist Shinan Govani wondered. “Or did it point to a weakness in the Obama brand?”
Power, a Pulitzer-winning Harvard professor, left “shocked and visibly downbeat,” Govani reports. “What happened?” she was heard asking.
I’ll tell you what happened, truth was spoken and heard.

SWAT!!! Yes, the truth will win out but sadly not even the truth could wake up the other 57% from their state of Liberal denial of undeniable truth. Hatred for Republicans and particularly George W. Bush blinds them to the truth.
Sad brainwashed fools living their lives in blissfull ignorance.
Well, maybe not blissfull as I am sure they are bitter husks of human beings with piss and vinegar running through their veins.
June 12th, 2008 at 10:26 amIt’s so much easier to turn the other cheek, be passive, preach love. Then you can feel like a good person. Instead, those who have the dirty job to keep us safe are castigated and reviled. What if there was another terrorist attack on US soil, say in SF, or NYC, right around the NYTimes building? Would that change any minds? Say, carried out by one of those nice, innocent “enemy combantants” after they bring their habeas corpus motions and get freed after their wrongful imprisonment? Would more minds be changed?

me: That’s what I call a bad case of credentialism. I have a better credential vitae and therefore I’m an expert…as if that’s enough to stop the debate.
All C.V. journalism like that does is foster contempt from people who think for themselves.
BTW, credentialism is the biggest weakness of Dems, the education system, and MSM.
Elevating credential over content is but a cheap form of evasion…and moral cowardice.

June 12th, 2008 at 11:03 amPower and Holbrooke?
…against Ferguson and Krauthammer?
” “What happened?” she was heard asking. ”
Simple. Twice as many left with a more complete appreciation of the concept of political psychosis.
