The Battery (Pitcher and Catcher) did it right...they waited until there was a runner on second base and the Catcher will use different signals, like subtraction, addition, first sign after one finger, etc. :wink: Cross-ups at that level happen all the time and even in the Majors. :shock: Those Kids have the perfect alibi. :mrgreen: They’ll never prove guilt…never.

The catcher almost seemed to drop to body-stop a low ball. Very odd however. Even still, the ump had protection that would stop a 120mph fastball. Might wake him up, but not much more. He didn't have to drop down if the intent was to hit the ump. Besides, how many pitchers at the high school level have enough accuracy to hit a man's head with a fastball on that one opportune throw?
