I think it’s interesting that my fellow midwesterners are not looting stores and screaming racism for the government not acting as fast as they would prefer them to. I think it’s funny how when flood victims are interviewed they speak of how unfortunate it is, but how they will just work through it and fix/rebuild the things that need it….instead of demanding $2000 debit cards and relocation assistance programs. I’ll wager that these flooded communities look as good as new in under a year, while parts of New Orleans still sit waiting for someone else to clean up the mess.
