Jeremiah Wright’s Own Church Asking “Why Is Wright Second-Guessing God?”

What? You think he’d just ride off into the sunset with that 15 minutes still not up yet?

I’ve seen this kind of thing before. The “Man of God” stands up before the congregation after much prayer and fasting and consultation with the main denominational headquarters or whatever eldership set-up that particular congregation follows. Much like a chain of command in the military; and then he humbly delivers what he honestly believes is “God’s vision as the leader of this flock when I step down/retire/am gone…for this congregation”.

The minister then begins implementing his procedures, policies, and other projects for the Church that he deems necessary for the day when Senior Pastor leaves and his “God-picked” successor receives the mantle of leadership of that flock and all is well and smooth and “Praise the Lord, let’s get on with the works of Christ!”

They have a great party for the Outgoing senior pastor, sometimes giving them a nice gift, maybe even a car, or a long vacation, or even a house. That is not uncommon, neither is it unethical or un-Biblical. Pastor and his wife ride off into the sunset, hopefully content and fulfilled and feeling like they really did do the will of God and fulfilled the destiny laid out for him in ministry.

End of story…this is good. This is the way it should be.

But then, what if a month or two later the old senior pastor comes back. Sticks his finger in ministerial workings of the new pastor and begins to say things along the lines of maybe this new pastor isn’t working out so well, maybe this new guy wasn’t supposed to be the one, since things aren’t looking the way old senior pastor thinks that they should be looking?

Hold on…hold the phone, Chuck.

It’s been going on at Barack Hussein Obama’s old church with the Reverend Jeremiah Wrong and that nice new young man Rev Moss, of whom Barack Hussein Obama has every confidence. So much so that the congregation is a little testy about it…

Quote of the day, a letter from a member of Hussein’s church:

To me, this says that Jeremiah Wright, as if we needed any more confirmation, is suspect, as a “Man of God.”
