All week long, all day long, every day, whenever one of these liberal democrats from Washington gets on TV to talk about drilling for oil in ANWR or offshore it’s like Pavlov’s Dog…they start drooling, they get this glazed over look in their eyes for a time so short that if you blink you’d miss it, and the meme goes off and out comes:
“Sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…sixty-eight million acres…”
You want to know something about those 68 million acres? And why the oil companies would rather drill in ANWR or off the Florida coast?
50 miles offshore, by the way, for any of you pollywogs that means you wouldn’t be able to see those things if you stood on the tallest condo on Miami Beach.
Let me draw you a real easy analogy…if you’ve ever been in sales, or if you have ever seen Glengarry Glen Ross (Fukn great writing) then you know what I mean when I say:
Those 68 million acres are like the telephone book to a salesman. ANWR and off the Florida Coast are bonafide leads.
In other words…who the fuck knows whats in those 68 million acres? We have to spend huge amounts of money and time and effort on a question mark, a maybe, a sure-hope-we-find-something treasure hunt.
But ANWR, we know. The Florida Coast…I’ve heard people are already drilling out there…
