What We Better Have Learned From The Last Few Rulings Of The SCOTUS

Liberals - 2 … Conservatives - 1
In the past two days something has become extremely evident and terrifying to me about the pecking-order or caste system of our government.
In the past two days, and perhaps I am alone in this delayed awakening, I have come to realize who IS the single most powerful person in this country (outside George Soros) who was NOT elected by “we the people” …
Not only was he not elected by the people … He was NOT the first choice of the President responsible for where he sits right now. No, he was a second or third choice, after a much better and stronger first choice was demonized and nearly completely destroyed politically, professionally, and personally.
The single most powerful man in this country not only outweighs the collected Congress, the POTUS, the government law enforcement offices (federal and state), the governors of individual states, mayors of this nation’s cities, “we the people” … he outweighs his own government body that he serves on.
The single most powerful man in this country is fondly and gleefully referred to by the liberal MSM and liberal forces in this country as “The Swing Vote” …
Yesterday, the single most powerful man in this country’s ’swing vote’ struck down the death penalty for child rapists.
Today, early this morning while most of the west coast of this nation was just waking and rubbing their eyes, the single most powerful man in this country’s swing vote gave us Constitutionally-minded U.S. citizens a victory in retaining our 2nd Amendment gun ownership rights.
So, while we all hoot and holler about this victory, while yesterday’s defeat slips to the back of our minds along with other recent defeats by the SCOTUS on how this country is run and what we are doing with today’s challenges, keep in mind that this most powerful man in this country not only held OUR/YOUR gun ownership right in his hands … but COULD have easily ’swung’ the other way.
Judges matter.
Barack Hussein Obama WILL NOT appoint strict Constitutionally minded judges to any court in this nation, let alone the SCOTUS. And a democrat lead Congress will surely approve and leave unchallenged any/all nominees this man would put before them.
John McCain has stated many times his intent to nominate strict Constitutionally-minded judges if he is elected POTUS.
So, whatever your reservations about voting for John McCain are … keep in mind the last few days and SCOTUS rulings … And keep in mind this …
Who do you trust to ‘load’ the courts in this country?
The last few days have really defined that for me …
This “ad” SHOULD, and had BETTER BE, brought to you by the RNC/GOP, and John McCain had damn well better approve it.
Oh, and “The Gipper” was right again … It ALL ‘trickles down’ in the end …

JUSTICE KENNEDY, AS GOP SCOURGE?

“This session of the Supreme Court has been a winner for child rapists and terrorists.â€
That is what John McCain’s best buddy in the Senate, Sen. Lindsey Graham, said in a statement today about the Supreme Court’s 5-to-4 ruling in the Louisiana death penalty case. (The two Bush appointees on the court, Roberts and Alito, were in the minority.)
The decision, written by Justice Anthony Kennedy, struck down the Louisiana law that permitted the death penalty for those convicted of raping a child.
The word “terrorists†in Graham’s statement was a reference to the high court’s June 12 Boumediene decision which struck down a central part of the 2007 Military Commission Act and gave prisoners at Guantanamo the right to habeas corpus.
That decision, too, was written by Justice Kennedy.

In one sense, it is all due to the blocking of the Bork nomination in 1987 which led to the nomination of Anthony Kennedy, who on days like today is the most powerful man in Washington.
In case anyone might have missed the point Graham added in his statement: “One of the major issues facing our nation is the future makeup of the Supreme Court.â€
As I wrote back in 2005, there is “a lesson in this for presidents and those who help them select Supreme Court nominees: when your first candidate fails, and your second surprises you with an awkward episode from his past, you can end up with someone whose decisions you’ll live to regret for 20 years and more. One of the most conservative presidents in American history wound up placing on the high court a judge who turned out to be in some cases — from the conservative perspective — alarmingly liberal.â€
