What We Better Have Learned From The Last Few Rulings Of The SCOTUS

Liberals - 2 … Conservatives - 1

In the past two days something has become extremely evident and terrifying to me about the pecking-order or caste system of our government.

In the past two days, and perhaps I am alone in this delayed awakening, I have come to realize who IS the single most powerful person in this country (outside George Soros) who was NOT elected by “we the people” …

Not only was he not elected by the people … He was NOT the first choice of the President responsible for where he sits right now. No, he was a second or third choice, after a much better and stronger first choice was demonized and nearly completely destroyed politically, professionally, and personally.

The single most powerful man in this country not only outweighs the collected Congress, the POTUS, the government law enforcement offices (federal and state), the governors of individual states, mayors of this nation’s cities, “we the people” … he outweighs his own government body that he serves on.

The single most powerful man in this country is fondly and gleefully referred to by the liberal MSM and liberal forces in this country as “The Swing Vote” …

Yesterday, the single most powerful man in this country’s ’swing vote’ struck down the death penalty for child rapists.

Today, early this morning while most of the west coast of this nation was just waking and rubbing their eyes, the single most powerful man in this country’s swing vote gave us Constitutionally-minded U.S. citizens a victory in retaining our 2nd Amendment gun ownership rights.

So, while we all hoot and holler about this victory, while yesterday’s defeat slips to the back of our minds along with other recent defeats by the SCOTUS on how this country is run and what we are doing with today’s challenges, keep in mind that this most powerful man in this country not only held OUR/YOUR gun ownership right in his hands … but COULD have easily ’swung’ the other way.

Judges matter.

Barack Hussein Obama WILL NOT appoint strict Constitutionally minded judges to any court in this nation, let alone the SCOTUS. And a democrat lead Congress will surely approve and leave unchallenged any/all nominees this man would put before them.

John McCain has stated many times his intent to nominate strict Constitutionally-minded judges if he is elected POTUS.

So, whatever your reservations about voting for John McCain are … keep in mind the last few days and SCOTUS rulings … And keep in mind this …

Who do you trust to ‘load’ the courts in this country?

The last few days have really defined that for me …

This “ad” SHOULD, and had BETTER BE, brought to you by the RNC/GOP, and John McCain had damn well better approve it.

Oh, and “The Gipper” was right again … It ALL ‘trickles down’ in the end …

JUSTICE KENNEDY, AS GOP SCOURGE?

From MSNBC.com’s Tom Curry

“This session of the Supreme Court has been a winner for child rapists and terrorists.”

That is what John McCain’s best buddy in the Senate, Sen. Lindsey Graham, said in a statement today about the Supreme Court’s 5-to-4 ruling in the Louisiana death penalty case. (The two Bush appointees on the court, Roberts and Alito, were in the minority.)

The decision, written by Justice Anthony Kennedy, struck down the Louisiana law that permitted the death penalty for those convicted of raping a child.

The word “terrorists” in Graham’s statement was a reference to the high court’s June 12 Boumediene decision which struck down a central part of the 2007 Military Commission Act and gave prisoners at Guantanamo the right to habeas corpus.

That decision, too, was written by Justice Kennedy.

In one sense, it is all due to the blocking of the Bork nomination in 1987 which led to the nomination of Anthony Kennedy, who on days like today is the most powerful man in Washington.

In case anyone might have missed the point Graham added in his statement: “One of the major issues facing our nation is the future makeup of the Supreme Court.”

As I wrote back in 2005, there is “a lesson in this for presidents and those who help them select Supreme Court nominees: when your first candidate fails, and your second surprises you with an awkward episode from his past, you can end up with someone whose decisions you’ll live to regret for 20 years and more. One of the most conservative presidents in American history wound up placing on the high court a judge who turned out to be in some cases — from the conservative perspective — alarmingly liberal.”

The President nominates. The Senate appoints.

McCain can win, but if the f*cking marxist bastard democrats continue to run the senate judicial system they will thwart the will of the President. I think Bush is still trying to get judges appointed that have been held up by the judicial committee.

McCain as the President will still need to have these assholes approve of his choice, they are part of the majority in the Judicial Committee:

    Patrick J. Leahy
    Chairman
    Edward M. Kennedy
    Joseph R. Biden, Jr.
    Herb Kohl
    Dianne Feinstein
    Russell D. Feingold
    Charles E. Schumer
    Richard J. Durbin

    nasty bunch aren’t they?

Elections have consequences to be sure.
We need ‘reverse coattails’ this election.

 Drillanwr, I copied this from Michelle Malkin. Its from the case file of the 8 yr. old whose step father raped her and the SCOTUS ruled on.
. An expert in pediatric forensic medicine testified that L. H.’s injuries were the most severe he had seen from a sexual assault in his four years of practice. A laceration to the left wall of the vagina had separated her cervix from the back of her vagina, causing her rectum to protrude into the vaginal structure. Her entire perineum was torn from the posterior fourchette to the anus. The injuries required emergency surgery.
How any human being of conscious can allow a scum bag like this to live shows the sorry state of our country. When the hammer falls it will fall hard and heavy on decisions such as the one the SCOTUS made.

I mentioned yesterday on another thread …

From MY personal knowledge (and an almost near-death experience from a pregnancy miscarriage, but obviously not so extreme medical case as this) the 8 yr old girl could have bled to death from that massive injury to that area.

We are one vote short of Marxist tyranny. The liberal Justices have made it crystal clear they can rewrite any part of the US Constitution they choose and there is nothing you can do about it.

Justice is no longer based on written law, it’s made up along the way.

To Mike W, Mike the victim in this barbaric attack was not the child but the heathen that ripe that child apart. Sadly the Democratic leadership has stood for the criminal rights, instead of victim rights.

  6. Mike W

 Mike Mose I agree that the entire court system has more sympathy for the perps then they do the victims. In courts today the victim is put on trial. One of these days vigilante groups will again rule because people will one day realize that the courts are our own worst enemies.
 Drillanwr sorry I did not see that you posted that. I only hope the people in Louisiana go over the SCOTUS and shall we say go medieval on him say with pliers and a blow torch.

    Vote McCain.

    Vote early, vote often.

It has been this way for far to long! But, we have found ourselves in the awful position of being unable to do anything about it. The liberal agenda is directed by the courts and the appointed judges that rule them. Liberals, Democrat and Republican alike, have made it their life’s mission, over the last 40 years, to see to it that it is not the legislation of laws and policies, by “elected” officials, that direct our national affairs, but the direct intervention of activists judges, appointed by said politicians, across our land, that legislate new laws and regualtions from the “Bench,” that rule and run our country.

The real question becomes: What can we, the American populace that understands Constitutional writ and purpose, do about it?

I think what separates (SCOTUS) Kennedy from most liberals is his consistency. He seems to consistently rule in favor of who ever is in opposition to the government. Liberals, if they were consistent, would be the ones championing gun owners’ rkba. Regardless, Kennedy sided with the individual opposing the govenment infringement on his 2nd Amd “protections.”

I hesitate to call them second amendment “rights” because the constitution really starts from the position that ALL rights belong to the people and only those rights listed in the constitution are yeilded by the people to the government. In that sense we don’t have constitutional rights, only the govenment has them, and all rights not specifically called out in the constitution remain with us. Unfortunately that, like so many other things, has been turned on its head in today’s version of the USA, largely through the absurd application of the commerce clause.

It seems that we have come full circle from the days of the founding of the country. Again, an unelected, individual person holds the fate of the nation in his hands, just like the King of England did way back when. Do we all realize that the Second Amendment was one heartbeat away from being STRUCK DOWN by this one person  Things are slipping away quietly and nobody seems to notice. The big question is, what would have happened if Kennedy had not decided for the Second Amendment? Where would we be today? Is another revolution nearer than we think?

Well I’m sold on McCain now.

Ideally, at least half of the SCOTUS would be swing votes. Having ideologically locked-down predictable decisions from 8 out of 9 makes a joke of the whole institution. They might as well mark their “ballots” and go home before even hearing the cases.
