Hell I know reloaders that would kill to have access to the spent brass over there. Heck people in the US are getting killed sneaking onto military live fire ranges to scavenge.
Salvage in a war zone has been going on for years…I remember seeing photos of Vietnamese digging up 105 shells on old US fire bases.
