    We have an immigrant neighbor who flies a huge American flag every day from a turret on top of his house. When European guests arrive, he switches to their national flags until they leave. We don’t mind at all: it surprises his guests and enables us to tell at a glance what country the latest tourist arrived from. We’ve even gone back and researched the patron saints represented by the various flags. Did you know that Richard the Lion Heart designed the emblem for the flag of England? St. George is the patron saint. However, it’s being called “racist” in England and increasingly those displaying it are told it’s illegal.
