Okay … I would MOST definitely prefer another person interviewing this poor woman … But we MUST suffer through NBC’s Ann friggin’ Curry and her cotton-mouthed, ‘empathizing’ histrionics …

At about 10:00 into the interview I was wishing I was in that room so I could reach out and land my knuckles into the side of that fucking “news woman’s” smarmy face!

How she digs and digs into this woman … trying to make her feel survivor’s guilt, on several levels. And instead of asking Ingrid questions, Curry insists on inserting these long-winded narratives … that often times Betancourt has to correct her on. And THEN Curry implies the poor woman was rude and may have brought on the ‘torture’ she may have been put through. AND THEN, she pushes this ‘depression’ shit on the woman … just hoping to get her to breakdown in a heap of tears, I suppose. And at like 10:00 Curry, after being told they weren’t going to talk about what they did to her … has to be told AGAIN! Fucking unbelievable!

“God was late …” ?!?!?! Curry actually says this to Ingrid after she explains how God and her faith in Him got her through the ordeal …

As much as I ranted the other night about that CBS bimbo Laura Logan, I could go on and on about THIS woman, Ann Curry … but I won’t.

This just over 30:00 interview with Betancourt is quite gripping and compelling. To see this almost frail woman who is actually as strong as a mountain in the face of what she has gone through. She is clear, unsympathetic, and at peace with beginning her life over again.

I have to shake my head in that Curry seems a bit over-eager … almost, I dunno, as if she’s trying to make some unsaid moral equivalency (in the viewers mind) to what this woman and the others went through being held by FARC … and the detainees in Gitmo … I KNOW she didn’t say it, but damn it! It’s there! In her voice … in her eyes. I can feel it. It’s NOT paranoia … It IS Big Brother in action.
