Pressure.
Pressure turns coal into diamonds.
Pressure turns grapes into wine.
Pressure draws oil from olives.
Pressure stops the bleeding.
Pressure gets information not volunteered.
Pressure…
You cannot see it. But you can feel it. You cannot taste it. But you can measure it.
Pressure determines rain or shine. Pressure determines life or death. Pressure brings a baby down the birth canal. Pressure sends bile up your throat.
Pressure breaks bones.
Pressure sends projectiles as small as a pebble through thick steel.
Pressure sends projectiles larger than your house to the moon.
Pressure pops eyeballs from their sockets. Pressure irritates nerve centers in sinus cavities creating excrutiating pain at 600 ft. down in the deep blue sea.
Pressure holds things together.
Pressure blows things apart.
Pressure is measured in the bloodstream.
