Raw 911: 9 Yr Old Watches Dad Murder Mom With A Sword

LANCASTER (AP) — L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man suspected of stabbing his live-in girlfriend to death with a sword in front of the couple’s four young children at their home in northern Los Angeles County.
Authorities say 28-year-old Jesus Humberto Canales (shown above) — who is a citizen of El Salvador — is wanted in connection with the stabbing death of 26-year-old Lucy Preciado, who was found dead at about 2:00 Saturday morning in the couple’s Lancaster home in the 4100 block of “West Avenue L”.
A neighbor says he was awakened when one of the children in the home ran out screaming that his father had just stabbed his mother. All of the children are younger than 10 — and it was one of them, that called 911 for help.
Authorities say Canales was last seen driving away in a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a bronze 2002 GMC Safari van with California license plate GCBY663.
The suspected murder weapon, a 3-foot sword, was recovered at the scene, but authorities say Canales should be considered armed and dangerous and may have a handgun.
