Ultra-Cool: Optical Illusion Albert Einstein & Marilyn Monroe
Dude…whoa…heh heh…I’d have to say that is one of the best optical illusions I’ve seen.
Anyone care to try and explain it?

July 24th, 2008 at 3:56 pmthis phenomene is “Anamorphose”, it’s a distorsion of a pic with a curve mirror
though I suppose that the parametres of the both portraits have been registred with ‘HTML’ (?) languages in order to give this optical illusion

Large pizels for distance?
Small pixels for closeness?
July 24th, 2008 at 5:54 pmFor those that cannot get 15′ away, try making a super-tight pinhole with your finger and thumb. Get back 6′-8′ to see the effect.
July 24th, 2008 at 6:05 pmJust blur your eyes to see Marilyn. The effect occurs becuase Albert’s features are drawn in lighter tones that you can only see with good eyesight. Marilyn’s features are drawn in darker tones that are visible from further away. So if you can blur out the lighter tones of Albert, all you see is the darker tones of Marilyn. They both share the same general outline and shape of face, so the effect is complete.
