Not to make light of this girl’s very serious problem but this instantly made me think of Democrats and the budget. “We need MORE taxes! MORE taxes!” Waaaaah! When there’s a tax cut, etc. Could not help but make the connection.

A mistake with food is allowing your child to indulge in junk food on a holiday and inadvertenly causing your child to have a stomach ache. I would not qualify allowing your 6 year old to turn into a 420lb bag of fat wrapped in flesh as a mistake. For God’s sake the little girl’s skeletal form was altered, that is classified as torture. That child has no chance of leading a normal life and the mother should have been arrested for child abuse and reckless endangerment. I am convinced that there is no limit to human stupidity as demonstrated by the mother of this poor child (and Obama supporters). Sorry had to throw that last part in.

July 1st, 2008 at 8:25 amI watched the video without sound (at work). I am a chef by degree with a fair respect for nutrition. I am a steak lover, bourbon lover, a foie gras lover, etc., but everything needs to taken in moderation.
The first thing I noticed in this video was the kid eating a plateful of French fries and a burger. This should not be a part of any kid’s diet, however hardly anyone cooks at home anymore and there are fast food places at every corner.
This kid, now and adult, stands no chance. It’s important to teach a kid how to eat properly from a very erly age. Yes, my daughter (3 years old) loves ice cream, M&Ms, and chocolate, but knows that she can’t have any dessert unless she eats a little of everything on her plate. Thankfully, she prefers seasonal fruit to most other dessert options.
