Asa Eslocker Was Investigating the Role of Lobbyists and Top Donors at the Convention

By BRIAN ROSS - (ABC)

ABC VIDEO OF THE ARREST

DENVER — Police in Denver arrested an ABC News producer today as he and a camera crew were attempting to take pictures on a public sidewalk of Democratic senators and VIP donors leaving a private meeting at the Brown Palace Hotel.

Police on the scene refused to tell ABC lawyers the charges against the producer, Asa Eslocker, who works with the ABC News investigative unit.

A cigar-smoking Denver police sergeant, accompanied by a team of five other officers, first put his hands on Eslocker’s neck, then twisted the producer’s arm behind him to put on handcuffs.

A police official later told lawyers for ABC News that Eslocker is being charged with trespass, interference, and failure to follow a lawful order. He also said the arrest followed a signed complaint from the Brown Palace Hotel.

Eslocker was put in handcuffs and loaded in the back of a police van which headed for a nearby police station.

Video taken at the scene shows a man, wearing the uniform of a Boulder County sheriff, ordering Eslocker off the sidewalk in front of the hotel, to the side of the entrance.

The sheriff’s officer is seen telling Eslocker the sidewalk is owned by the hotel. Later, he is seen pushing Eslocker off the sidewalk into oncoming traffic, forcing him to the other side of the street.

It was two hours later when Denver police arrived to place Eslocker under arrest, apparently based on a complaint from the Brown Palace Hotel, a central location for Democratic officials.

During the arrest, one of the officers can be heard saying to Eslocker, “You’re lucky I didn’t knock the f..k out of you.”

Eslocker was released late today after posting $500 bond.

Eslocker and his ABC News colleagues are spending the week investigating the role of corporate lobbyists and wealthy donors at the convention for a series of Money Trail reports on ABC’s “World News with Charles Gibson.”

Expect much more of the same and worse if we are so unfortunate as to have the White House and Congress controlled by D’rats.

*sigh*… one day that’ll be me for using my lawnmower twice in a month or for cooking pork on my homemade smoker grill or for incorrect tire pressure.
    Everybody’s gotta have a dream.

Pat said to have our sniffers working. That whole episode smells like Barack Hussein Obama.

This story will be buried, its going nowhere the MSM wont make waves about the fair haired boy or the party of change if it reflects a change for the worse.

Is Barack Obama not declaring all the money he is receiving?

    Eslocker’s phone rings…
Anonymous voice “Mr. Eslocker, I need you to meet me in Ft Marcy Park @ midnight, and come alone I’ve got a story for you”

Don’tcha know Eslocker? You NEVER try to pull back the curtain of the Democrat power structure in an attempt to expose the real picture.

Democrat, Republican or Independent….we should be outraged that our public servants (law enforcement) and business (Brown Palace Hotel) can manhandle and use their alleged authority to prevent reporters from using a public sidewalk to take photographs of politicians and big time donors meeting together.

These guys work for us ….at least we pay their salaries.

I hope that ABC follows up on this and takes legal action.

I too hope ABC presses this issue (no pun intended) That was a piss poor use of discretion on behalf of the PD. These are the same type of Officers that willing disarmed regular citizens of thier firearms during the aftermath of Katrina. I wonder if thier “oath of office” contained any language about protecting the constitutional rights of the citizens?

Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you may happen to be, the ones really running the show are the ones this reporter was arrested for trying to film.

We have been fleeced, bamboozled, sold to the highest bidder. Do you really think big business will ever allow the borders to be closed or any really meaningful reforms to happen?

They get us riled up over hot-button issues like gay marriage or universal health care while behind the scenes, our children’s futures are being sold to the highest bidders.

    A dollar in 1950 is worth $8.61 in today’s money (see http://www.measuringworth.com/ppowerus/)

What we can afford to buy out right without having to use credit is slowly being striped away, year after year. My dad had his house paid for and cars paid for by the time he was 38, in the early 70’s. I’m almost 36 and I’ll never pay my house off most likely.

The money changers have figured out a way to get the majority of the United States citizens to sign their lives away in the name of consumerism. Most people are one or two paychecks away from bankruptcy. No matter how much STUFF they have.

The multinational corporations have moved their factories out of the states so they can make even more profit while enriching the economies of our enemies.

The politicians turn a blind eye to illegal immigration until whole job sectors have been taken over and the salaries of those jobs so over deflated that they can get on TV with a straight face and say the illegals do jobs Americans won’t do.

We’ll do them but not for the wages that they are currently making. Just try and get a job in construction in Texas and see what happens. You won’t get hired because Juan’s cousin will do it for three times less than you. Just try and get a job at a restaurant, my wife came back with me from Spain when I got out of the Navy. She didn’t speak English so she tried getting a job in a Mexican restaurant, no dice, they don’t hire none Mexicans in a Mexican owned business.

The money changers that this reporter pissed off, have taken the greatest country on the face of the planet and sold it out. Once this pyramid scheme fails, who are they going to sell their inferior products to? Once our economy goes into a huge depression fueled by the housing crisis, no personal savings and high debt both on the personal and federal government levels, who will the be the worlds consumers?

Dark days ahead, dark days indeed.

Just try and do something about it, you’ll be labeled an extremist and a criminal.

That is why my favorite saying is, “COME ON BIRD FLU, THIS WORLD NEEDS AN ENEMA”

The strong will survive and the leeches and hangers on will not…….

Actually its the Banks and the Federal Reserve which is a private corporation. The Federal Reserve is not owned or controlled by the people of the USA.
Did you know when a bank gets robbed, it doesnt lose a penny, nothing. It is insured by the Federal Reserve, so that all they do is replace the money.
Did you know for every dollar a bank has, it can make 9 dollars in loans. Or that is, 8 dollars is not backed by anything.

Remarkable displays of paranoia and ignorance in the above two comments. An education goes a long way to weaning yourself off of Ron Paul nuttiness and idiocy, FWIW.
