Vietnam War - “The Impact of Media” explores in detail the ‘media distortions’ due to television’s misrepresentations during the Vietnam War. It rebuts the view promoted by PBS ’s 13-part documentary series, “Vietnam: A Television History”. The rebuttal also applies to “The Ten Thousand Day War” series.
“The Impact of Media” is a must-see for historians and politicians alike. The late president Ronald Reagan lauded this rebuttal video when he watched it and said that it’s “something all Americans should see”.
Made in 1984.

I was speaking to a young friend of mine about what distinguished this generation, what moniker would it bear? I thought a second, and then ventured, “Well, other than the way less than 1% of it serving in combat, the only thing that distinguishes this generation is internet porn. The rise, proliferation and complete integration into the core of their lives of internet porn. So, uh, yeah this is The Internet Porn Generation.”
She didn’t say anything for awhile. This was her generation we were speaking about. She didn’t challenge me, and I supposed she was trying to come up with a better answer. I was thinking she could have said “Violence” as in You Tube videos where her generation beats the shit out of each other, but I guess she didn’t cos what’s the difference?
We haven’t spoken about it again.
