TOKYO, Aug. 8 (AP) - (Kyodo)—(EDS: UPDATING, TO BE LED)
A China-bound Air China jetliner on Friday returned to Central Japan International Airport near Nagoya after the airline’s Japan office received a bomb threat hours before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, the transport ministry said.
Air China delayed the departure of four other flights from Japan’s Narita and Fukuoka airports to check the aircraft.
Air China’s Tokyo office received an e-mail at around 12:50 p.m. threatening that aircraft would be blown up unless the Chinese airline stopped its operations, the ministry said, adding that the threat was apparently meant to disrupt the Beijing Olympics.
Air China’s Flight 406, a Boeing 737 jetliner bound for Chongqing via Shanghai, departed the central Japan airport, also known as Chubu airport, shortly past 3 p.m. but returned before 4 p.m.
The 70 crew and passengers aboard the flight were unhurt.

August 8th, 2008 at 7:08 pmSo yeah, headache in my brain. Thirteen and a half hour work day. It wasn’t just a long day, it was one of “those” days… The kinda that can only be remedied with some aspirin, beer and quiet.
And yes I’m venting a little. To a group of people I know appreciate hard work. Though the day was long and demanding, a lot was accomplished. Our helicopters are finally starting to get along with us. Or so it seems for now.
Also, it lead me to try a beer I’ve been wanting to try for some time now. Sam Adams Summer Ale. It’s pretty fuckin’ good. Still has a distinct flavor yet light enough for moderately heavy drinking. It has the slightest citrus taste. The label says it “brewed with lemon and grains of paradise.” I like, and am suggesting it to you guys. Especially since Anheuser-Busch is no longer American.
I may even be daring enough to call it my new favorite beer. Next to the Boston Lager.

And since I’m from New England, I’m not a huge fan of the Chargers.

As for beer, still haven’t tried the Sam Adams Summer Lager, but I am fast becoming a fan of Yuengling. My dad bought some SA Winter Lager when I got back home for Christmas break in 2007. However, I have some severe reservations drinking something that comes from the North East corridor (specifically Boston), I hate their MLB teams, and resent their politics! Someday, my posse will create an all-American microbrew that will bring the national beer industry back to the the prominence it once enjoyed. Sure Bud tasted like watered-down piss, but it was cheap, and it was AMERICAN! Speaking of AB, there was a deal tonight at The Lucky Buddha where you could get Budlights for $1 apiece. Not bad.
I call ‘em tank tops, but that seems to have more a hot chick attire connotation these days!
I have a VERY liberal older sister, who I wouldn’t classify as an “idiot” (misinformed is more like it). She’s both a vegan and (recently) listed her religious beliefs on facebook as “gaia.” Lives in Portland, OR; might need to invite Bash over for an intervention the next time I visit her!
During the last Christmas break, I ridiculed carbon credits by asking her how much I would need to pay in indulgences for a drinking party; she wasn’t amused. When some say that such beliefs are a religion, more and more I’d say they’re correct in their assertions. Hard as it is to believe, we still love each other as good siblings do.
