Bashage Award: Navy Sailor With A Shotgun Blows Away Armed Intruder

August 14th, 2008 Posted By Bash.

A Navy Sailor and his girlfriend were taking a nap around 5 PM Saturday when they heard loud “booms” and the sound of shattering glass. He knew someone was breaking into his house.

He grabbed his shotgun and went into what he called “Combat Mode”…

NBC15 in Pensacola, Florida takes it from here:

…he says he saw two intruders inside his home and one of them was walking around with a gun in his hand. He says that’s when his military training kicked in.

“As I raised my weapon, he raised his and I shot,” he said. “He tried to run out the front door and I shot and hit him again.”

This Sailor says the second shot was fatal, and it was the second shot, he says, that sent the other intruder running out the door.

This is the last night they say they’ll sleep in this house. Their sense of peace is gone, and only one thing is bringing them of sense of security.

“The right to bear arms,” the man said. “That’s about it.”

The Bashage Award is given to somebody who steps up and uses force, preferrably lethal, to protect innocent life.

Nods to TBinSTL.

The Liberals will be asking whether or not he actually needed to shoot the intruder. I ask, what kind of shot did he use?

  2. deathstar

How dare he shoot the intruder. The guy was probably a poor, misunderstood, abused, victim of AmeriKKKa. He could have been rehabilitated (it would only take therapy and a bit of taxpayer money).

Sad thing is, he’ll probably be brought up on charges by the family of the assailant because of his training giving him an unfair advantage.

    Rest in pieces, asshat.

This is from my “deep thoughts” posting:

When seconds matter the police are only minutes away

    Woohoo!!

Notice they didn’t mention his rate. If he is a Corpsman the family will probably sue for not rendering aid after using his combat honed advanced weapons training advangtage over this poor downtroden victim of right wing conservative war wongering anti-entilement racist establishment.

That reminds me of the Brinks alarm commercials I love to laugh at. You’ve seen them, a woman sees an intruder bust open a window or a door and the alarm goes off. The intruder is always white and always runs away when the alarm goes off. The Brinks guy on the phone makes it sound like his phone call tot he police will save her….

We all know the reality. The intruder would have time to rape her, cut her throat and stroll out the door with her TV before the cops showed up.

Either you defend yourself or you die….simple survival. So when the DemonKrats try and take my 2nd amendment rights, they are trying to kill me, right?

“Officials are looking for another man connected to the break-in, Austin said, but could not provide a description of the man.”

Obvious Suspect Description: Likely has liqui-shit streaming down both of his legs.

That’s the way you do it to prevent the SOB from coming back and suing you!

5PM???!!!! Wow, I feel I am vigilant and smart at night (regarding safety precautions), but I’ve never thought about daylight hours! Note to self: Not all assholes want to hide in the dark.

I know all too well how that feels. I was in a similar situation - only the asshole that broke in MY house didn’t have a weapon, and he split before I even raised my weapon.

Dumb bastard got what he deserved, and I hope it was 12-gauge shot.

That is the insanity that our country has come to, you can be sued for shooting someone in self-defense

I’m probably going to get killed for saying this but, good riddance. One less criminal the taxpayers have to foot the bill for.

A Navy Sailor and his girlfriend were taking a nap around 5 PM Saturday…Taking a NAP? Oh well alls well that ends well…I bet he resumed his nap with gusto!

  18. skh.pcola

This happened in my hometown. There’s been a rash of home invasions lately. Here in Florida, in such a situation, you should just open fire and not stop until you are out of rounds.

  19. dvldok

Another reason y my home defense shotgun is loaded with slugs  :gun: :gun: :gun:

Don’t have to worry about dragging the body back inside before the police eventually get there.

  20. The Angry Redneck

My hat goes off to this Sailor…I’m raisin’ my glass to you!

  21. mindy abraham

Go Navy  i bet his girlfriend feels safe and secure

Curiosity question for anyone who knows: Are hollow-point pistol rounds legal for self-defense in most states?

  23. Kim

Hollow points are allowed here in the communist state of California. So if they’re allowed here, they’re probably allowed everywhere.
