Britain Under Attack By Russian And Chinese Cyber Terrorists
Britain under attack from cyber foreign security terrorists, report warns
Britain is under regular cyber attack over the internet by “foreign intelligence organisations” thought to include China and Russia, it has emerged.

“E-espionage” was identified by the Government as one of the two most likely risks facing the UK, the other being terror attacks on the transport network.
The Cabinet Office published its first annual risk register which highlighted the dangers posed to Britain’s security from other countries as well as terrorist groups, natural disasters and major accidents.
It said: “The UK does remain subject to high levels of covert non-military activity by foreign intelligence organisations.
“They are increasingly combining traditional intelligence methods with new and sophisticated technical attacks, for example attempting to penetrate computer networks through the internet.
“IT systems in government departments and various organisations, including elements of the national infrastructure, have been and continue to be attacked to obtain the sensitive information they hold.
“Some of these attacks are well planned and well executed.”
In the past, British security services chiefs have said that Whitehall computer systems were under regular attack from Chinese and Russian operatives.
Jonathan Evans, the director general of MI5, warned last November of the risk from Chinese e-espionage. China denied it was engaged in such practices.
The Government’s first national risk register also warned that Britain is most at risk from a flu pandemic, which could kill hundreds of thousands of people.
The risk register recommended that people should stop taking baths, stock pile tinned food and save petrol by turning off the air conditioning in their cars.
The advice is contained in the first National Risk Register, published yesterday by the Cabinet Office which sets out the likelihood of disasters striking the UK
In a chapter titled “Considerations for individuals, families and communities”, the document offers advice on what to do in an emergency.
They included instructions to stockpile tinned food, take showers not baths and turn off in the air conditioning in the car to save fuel.

In my wildest dreams, these glorious Olympic Games are our greatest opportunity to transplant thousands of US spies into China. Fuck’um!
August 8th, 2008 at 9:11 pmSounds like the olympics this year are being used a distraction to further the agenda of some people. Mostly Russia as we have all seen today. I do find it odd that China hasnt given their spies a day off for the events going on.
August 8th, 2008 at 9:17 pmI heard on the news that 300,000 Chinese volunteers have fanned out to spy on tourists during the Olympics. That’s an amazing statistic. Makes you wonder how many paid spies are in China.
